Summary

The tears in space turn out to be a side effect of the Askran Kingdom's gateway-opening powers. Sharena explains that Alfonse was captured by Thórr—who calls herself the god of war—and sent to this world. Hoping to save Alfonse, the party decides to gather more information.

Dialogue

Error: Table Dragons not found.
What an impressive castle!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
I know, right? Welcome to the Halidom! Er, I mean...welcome to our entire world?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Thanks! I appreciate all the hospitality, especially after popping out of a gate uninvited the way I did.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
You're always welcome here, Sharena. And I apologize for dragging you into a battle instead of giving you the proper reception you deserve.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
You didn't drag me into anything. In fact, I am likely the one who should be offering up apologies.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Are you referring to when you said the source of the rifts was related to the power of your family?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
If so, could you tell us more?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Certainly. So as I am sure my brother told you, the royal family of Askr has the ability to open gates.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Now, we are very good at opening gates to worlds that have stable "doors." But in a world like this...
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Right, I remember. This world is unstable compared to yours, and highly sensitive to your powers.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Which causes new passages to open up all over the place.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
So that means that Alfonse has come to this world, yeah?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Actually, my brother was captured during a battle.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Prince Alfonse has been captured?!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
That guy's tougher than a box of old nails. Hard to imagine anybody gettin' the better of him in a fight.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Good point, Ranzal. His foe must have been very powerful indeed.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Actually, his foe was...a god.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
A god?!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Yes. She is Thórr—or "the god of war," as she insists on calling herself.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
And she is a powerful enemy indeed.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
We fought her with everything we had, but she still ended up taking my brother.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
I'm so sorry to hear that, Sharena. Er, but why did Thórr bring him here?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Because she has business in this place. My brother is just a means to that end.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
What could she want from us? We don't even KNOW this woman!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
I don't know. Not exactly, anyway.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
But she said something about "judging the worthiness of certain otherworldly heroes as warriors for the heavens."
Error: Table Dragons not found.
She also said she would use my brother's power to reach the "dragonblood realm." I figured she must have meant this world.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
"The dragonblood realm," is it? Well, that does seem an apt description.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
But what's the part about judging the worth of heroes?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Sounds like this Thórr god lady is comin' here to put us through our paces and see if we all measure up.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
I don't care if she IS a god—she has no right to judge any of us!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
And I fail to understand why she would carefully explain her scheme to you before undertaking it.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Unless she is attempting to lure you into some manner of trap?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
I don't think it's a trap—Thórr is just obsessed with testing us mortals. You'd be surprised how often this kind of thing happens to us.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
She's always saying things to us like, "I'm giving you this challenge, so show me you have the strength to prevail!" ...And so forth.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Well, that's all fine and dandy for a god, but it sure does suck for the poor sap what's gettin' put through the wringer!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Yes, it does get very old.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
She sounds like a difficult person. Er, or a difficult god, I guess?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Well, at least now we have some idea of what we're dealing with—as well as why you think Alfonse has come here.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Indeed, Alfonse was the one who told me about all of you in the first place.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
It's a lucky thing that I was able to find you on the first try!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Feels a little deus ex machina to me, but what the hell do I know?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
I wish we had something more to go on besides vague hunches.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Well, I don't know if this will help, but a bunch of our friends disappeared at the same time my brother was taken.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
If that is all Thórr's doing, she may have brought them to this world as well.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Do you think Thórr is using your friends as part of her plan to test us?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
It's a possibility. Anyway, if there have been any weird incidents around here lately, it might be an indication that my missing friends are close by.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
And if we find them, they might be able to lead us to Thórr or Alfonse!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
"Weird incidents" is casting a fairly wide net, don't you think?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
One of the villages nearby had some carrots go bad in the field! Is that the kind of thing you're lookin' for?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Oh, and I heard about a town where everybody keeps oversleeping!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
And my hair has been all split ends lately—I hope that IS Thórr's doing so it returns to normal after I kick her butt all the way back to heaven!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Ah! Perhaps you're right!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Wait, really?! My split ends?!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
No. I mean, yes, split ends have been driving me crazy as well, and I'd be thrilled if I could blame Thórr for that...
Error: Table Dragons not found.
But I mean the other one—the one about folks oversleeping. Are they just missing the first rooster crow, or are they so deeply asleep you can't wake them up?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Uh, all I heard was that there are some folks who just won't wake up...
Error: Table Dragons not found.
We've had similar incidents on our world; it's possible one of our friends is involved!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Sounds like it's time to head over and take a look for ourselves.
