Conditions are status effects applied to units. These can come in the form of afflictions, buffs, debuffs, special effects, and unique skill conditions.

Afflictions

Afflictions are temporary debilitating states inflicted by attacks or traps within a quest. Being afflicted also:

Prevents an adventurer from shapeshifting.

level stacks, and prevents an adventurer from gaining more energy level stacks.

Additionally, afflictions have a base chance to apply, which is also affected by a unit's affliction resistance. For example, adventurers can have the Stun Res ability while enemies may have built-in affliction resistance.

Affliction proc rates, damage, damage rate and duration vary across adventurers, enemies, skills, attacks and quest difficulty level. In general, for an enemy of a specific difficulty, the attacks and skills have varying proc rates, but the same damage, damage rate and duration. The following table lists the afflictions ingame.

An adventurer can only have one affliction active on them at a time. If a second affliction is applied while an affliction is active on the Adventurer, the new one will overwrite the old one. For example, an Adventurer that is Cursed but then gets Blinded will now only be Blinded.

Poison	Deals damage to the afflicted enemy's HP every few seconds for a limited amount of time. Cannot deal lethal damage. When inflicted onto an adventurer, it instead deals a percentage of the afflicted adventurer's maximum HP. Cannot deal lethal damage.	1

Freeze	Freezes adventurer in a block of ice, preventing action and movement for a limited amount of time. Can be removed by allies attacking the block of ice. (Note: on lower graphics settings, the block of ice may not be visible, but the afflicted will look locked in place with their struck animation.)	2
Paralysis	Deals damage to the afflicted enemy's HP and causes stagger every few seconds for a limited amount of time. Cannot deal lethal damage. When inflicted onto an adventurer, it instead deals a percentage of the afflicted adventurer's maximum HP and causes stagger every few seconds for a limited amount of time. Cannot deal lethal damage.	1
Blindness	Causes attacks to miss with a fixed chance for a limited amount of time. When inflicted onto an enemy, applies 50% chance to miss. When inflicted into an adventurer, the chance to miss varies by the source of the affliction.	1
Stun	Locks a character in place and prevents all action for a limited amount of time. After a brief period, can be removed instantly if the afflicted adventurer is attacked.	2
Curse	Stops SP gain and usage of skills, as well as helper skills for a limited amount of time.	1
Bog	Movement speed is reduced by 50% and damage received is increased by 50% for a limited amount of time.	2
Sleep	Locks a character in place and prevents all action for a limited amount of time. After a brief period, can be removed instantly if the afflicted adventurer is attacked.	2
Frostbite	Deals damage to the afflicted enemy's HP every few seconds for a limited amount of time. Cannot deal lethal damage. When inflicted onto an adventurer, it instead deals a percentage of the afflicted adventurer's maximum HP. Cannot deal lethal damage.	1

Affliction Chance Formula

if Resistance% >= 100% : Affliction Chance% = 0
if Resistance% <  100% : Affliction Chance% = (Proc Chance% - Resistance%)

When an affliction has been 100% resisted, the RESIST text will be in yellow instead of white.
(This is not to be confused with when a condition such as Dull has been 100% resisted, where the RESIST text will be in blue).

Some enemies increase their resistance of an affliction each time they are afflicted. The increased amount varies by the affliction type:

Poison, Burn, Paralysis, or Frostbite: +5%
Blindness: +10%
Freeze, Stun, Bog, or Sleep: +20%

This resist tally and resist increase is shared by all players in co-op.

Variable	Description
Affliction Chance	The overall % chance to inflict the affliction
Proc Chance	The base % chance to inflict the affliction of the skill in question (can be found on Adventurer pages on relevant Skill tabs)
Resistance	The % level of immunity to the status effect (can be found on Enemies page for enemies, Adventurers have a base resistance of 0% to all afflictions) No enemies or adventurers possess any Strength Down nor Defense Down nor Bleeding resistance.
