Summary

With help from the Soaratorium crew, the prince's party succeeds in slaying Fatalis. Thanks to a new power gained by Rathalos, a rift appears that connects to the Wycademy members' world. As the party watches, the Soaratorium sails back home.

How does it keep getting up?! Its mana is weakened! Keep at it! One last charge should finish it! That's a damn sight easier said than done! I ain't got the strength to stand, much less go another round with that thing. As bravely as the Rathalos has fought, it also appears to be on its last legs. Is this really how it ends for all of us? Listen! That's the Wyventurer's signal! Okay, everyone! I need you to drive Fatalis out of the space between worlds! You would have us drive the beast INTO our own world?! Explanyations will have to wait. Please, you have to trust me! I'll shapeshift and draw its attention. The sight of my dragon wings should trigger its urge to attack. Here we go... Hraaaaaagh! Come and get me, Fatalis! Well, that should do it. Now I just need to jump through the tear and...

We did it, boss! Yes. It is finished. Thanks to the Soaratorium crew. To think I fought the legendary Fatalis... I've never been more terrified! My face went as pale as a blue mushroom. Ha ha ha! Oh, what a perfect metaphor! Kitty told us everything—I can't believe you went after Fatalis on the first flight with a newly repaired ship! How reckless! Ha! A fair point. We made the repairs at such a frantic pace, we were all a little worried we were headed for another crash. You finally had the capability to flee this world, and yet you came back to save it. Thank you. I truly mean it. It was the only real choice to make. We weren't about to end our expedition when there were still monsters out there. That's not what the Wycademy is about! Oh! The Rathalos! We never could have done it without you, Rathalos. Thank you. Uh oh... Its roar seems to be opening a new otherworld tear! Oh dear. Now the Rathalos has the same power Fatalis once did? It was in the space between worlds for that whole battle, so it makes sense the mana there could have caused further changes in its physiology. Yeah, but look! It's flying into it! I wonder where it leads...? *sniff* Hey, I know that smell! That's the breeze that blows through Bherna Village! Which means that rift leads home! How fascinating that the Rathalos has also gained the ability to manipulate rifts... Still, it doesn't look like it's going to stay open for very much longer. Well observed, my royal friend. All hands, prepare for departure! I know we've precious little time, but I'd still like to say goodbye. And I'd hoped to spend a little more time with Vanyessa... Perk up those whiskers, kitty!
