Dialogue
Error: Table Dragons not found.
*pant* *pant* What a relief... The town is still okay...
Error: Table Dragons not found.
It looks like we were able to get here before the fiends.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Ya sure they're really comin'? We might be gettin' all worked up over a big zero.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Are you saying that my calculations are incorrect, sir?!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
No one is doubting you. Still, isn't it better that the fiends are NOT coming?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
I...suppose so.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Just to be safe, we should talk to the townsfolk and have them evacuate to some place more secure.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Er, perhaps it might be better NOT to let the townspeople find out about this.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
They deserve to know. Besides, keeping them in the dark makes it harder for us to ensure their safety.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
But...
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Why are you so averse to telling them what's going on here?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Well, I...
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Everyone is so excited for the festival, and I don't want to throw cold water on their happy mood.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Peng Lai is not a town of abundance, and there are a great many people who leave the town to find work.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
The Lunar New Year is the only time most of those people return home.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
So if we could get through this without them finding out, I'd like to do so. Even if it means I must fight alone.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
I am in agreement with Su Fang.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Me too! Festivals are only fun when there are tons of people enjoying 'em, after all.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
MAO! (FESTIVAL!)
Error: Table Dragons not found.
What will we do, Euden?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
I'm not going to let them fight this out on their own; we'll stay and lend a hand.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Ya gotta admire their pluck.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
All right then. If there are fiends headed for town, let's track them down before they can get here.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Hey, look! Over there!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
A horde of fiends! Just like Xiao Lei said.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
We must hold them back!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
GROOOOARGH!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Tch! You guys ain't so tough!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Hey, guys! Someone's coming!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
......
Error: Table Dragons not found.
That idiot's wadin' right into the horde!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
No... It can't be...
Error: Table Dragons not found.
GROAAARGH!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
HAH!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
I've never seen such bladework! Who IS this man?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
That is Ku Hai—a legendary swordsman who left Peng Lai to wander the world.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Don't mean nothin' to me, but if he's willin' to punch chumps, I'm all for it!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
...Okay, looks like the fiends are all gone.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
And none of them made it close to town. Looks like we can relax for now at least.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Thank you all. ...And Ku Hai! How good to see you have returned!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
It has been some time, Su Fang. Though it is not quite correct to say that I have returned.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
A wanderer has no place to return to. Not even the town he once called home.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
But were you not just fighting to protect that very town?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Even if I have let go of my homeland, I cannot forget my obligation to it.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Just be honest and say you wanted to protect your hometown, weirdo!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Easy, Notte. Anyone who lets go of their homeland's got more than their fair share'a troubles. Give the guy a break, yeah?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Su Fang, who are these warriors with you?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Travelers who lent their aid in order to protect the town.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
We had a revelation in a dream. We're saviors, baby!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
A revelation? Hmm, and you seem to be able warriors as well. Perhaps...
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Wh-what is it?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
I would speak with you. However, let us first collect ourselves in town.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Ku Hai! ...Er, I mean, if that is your wish, we will return to Peng Lai for now.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Oh man, I haven't had a meat bun in FOREVER! *chomp* *munch* Oh yeah, that's the stuff...
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Mao! Maaao! (Delish! Deeeelish!)
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Nothing beats a Lunar New Year feast, am I right? Talk about great timing!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Hey, let's try that next! ATTAAAACK!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
MAOOOO! (ATTAAAACK!)
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Lin You and Mao Mao have wasted no time getting caught up in the festival spirit.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
All the more reason to be thankful we took care of those fiends.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Now then, what was it you needed to speak with us about, Ku Hai?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
It is no accident that I find myself in Peng Lai; in my journeys, I met with Peng Lai, and he bade me do so.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
You met Peng Lai?!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Wait, isn't that the name of your town?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Peng Lai is a legendary dragon who came from Taiwu alongside Xu Fu. He is responsible for creating the very foundation of the town.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
It is said that one hundred years ago, Peng Lai used his power to turn this once-desolate land into the soil upon which people now thrive.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Our ancestors named their village after him in order to show their reverence.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
So is the dragon IN the town?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Peng Lai is as a drifting cloud, never remaining in one place for long.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
I happened upon Peng Lai in the midst of my travels, and he informed me that crisis was drawing near the town.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Just like my dream...
Error: Table Dragons not found.
I know not about your dreams, but Peng Lai was worried about the drying dragon-vein spring.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Then it really IS happening!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Yes. However, Peng Lai is making efforts to ensure it does not come to pass.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
He claimed he was headed for the spring, and charged me with seeking out any who could be of help and taking them there.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
He told you to do that? But...
Error: Table Dragons not found.
I know, Su Fang. I'm hardly the best person to be seeking help from others.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Peng Lai found much amusement in this situation. Honestly, he's as much chittering child as venerable old dragon.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Nonetheless, I understand the situation. And if that's what he has asked of you, I will gladly come along.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
And so will we. I think it might be why we were called here in the first place.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
You have my gratitude. Let us make for the dragon-vein spring, then.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
*munch* *crunch* *gulp* Waaaait! I'm coming toooooo!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
MAO MAO! *munch*! (*munch* *munch* *munch*)
