Summary

When Wu Kong tells the prince and his allies that the seal on the Jin Gu Er may be open, the group sets out to see what is going on. When they enter a cave, they encounter Mei Hou Wang—a strangely peaceful fiend— and invite him to come along with them.

Oh man, it has been a WHILE! What are you doing here? I heard you parted ways with Xuan Zang and started training with another sealer? Yeah, that's all in the past. Now I'm a full-fledged rookie sealer, so I get to travel around and train on my own. Can we maybe get back to the part where you fell out of the sky? I betcha got carried away with one'a them Qilin relic thingies, yeah? I did NOT get carried away! Just...don't tell my master about this, okay? Ha ha! Good to see you haven't changed. So what did you come here for, anyway? Are you looking for Xuan Zang? Oh, butts, yeah! Where is she? She left a little while ago—said something about having sensed a powerful relic. Wait, she's not here?! Oh man, that is some really lousy timing... Er, did something happen? Yeah, one of the great sealers recently sensed something going seriously wonky with a powerful Qilin relic. They're thinking maybe that relic she dealt with before—the Jin Gu Er—has gotten unsealed. You mean the thing that turned you into that Qitian...Dasheng...guy?! That's not good. That relic had the power to create fiends and control people. Yeah, exactly—and if it's woken up, I don't have time to wait around for Master Xuan Zang to come back. Sooo...

*wheeze* *pant* Are we sure it was a good idea for us to come here alone...? Aw, It'll be fine! Besides, the master's got Yulong with her, and he can sniff out all kinds of Qilin relics. If something's weird with the Jin Gu Er, they'll sense it sooner or later. Plus.. ...Plus? Okay, I'm going to tell you a secret: It's the reason why the Jin Gu Er produces fiends. Yeah, that IS kinda weird, huh? I mean, what's even the POINT of that? Why would the Qilin even make it? Yeah, see, they didn't. Back in the day, the Jin Gu Er was a relic with the power to SEAL fiends, not make 'em. It became what it is today when some ancient Qilin sealed a fiend inside it. What kind of fiend are we talking here? Must've been serious business if it had to be sealed away inside a relic. I dunno—but it's apparently something called Mei Hou Wang. And you believe this Mei Hou Wang may have something to do with the Jin Gu Er's seal being released? Dunno that, either. It's basically unheard- of for a seal to be broken on a relic. It sounds like we won't know what's going on until we see for ourselves, so let's find the cave where the Jin Gu Er is sealed.

Squeak! Uh, what? Squeeeeak! It's a squirrel. Yes, he seems to have wandered in here. He was attacked by a fiend, and I tried to step in and help. Alas, I ended up being attacked myself. Squeak squeak! Where are you going, squirrel? The exit, I imagine. These fiends of yours seem to be gone, so he likely thinks it safe to venture out once more. Well, that's good. Okay, what's going on here? I've never heard of a fiend that protects other living creatures. Yes... Mei Hou Wang, this cave seems dangerous, so maybe we should all get out of here. Would you come with us? I am honored by your offer. Thank you. Is this a wise course of action, Highness? If this creature truly is Mei Hou Wang, he may be attempting to deceiving us. If he wanted to trick us, he would have made up a false name in the first place. Besides, we can't just leave him here. Look, whatever we do, let's do it fast. The miasma's rollin' in thick and heavy, which means fiends are gonna follow. Just let me grab the Jin Gu Er first. Maybe Master Xuan Zang can take a look at it and figure out what's going on. Sounds like a plan. Now let's move.
