Summary

The Imperial Army is led by Captain Harle, who sends the giant fiend Hypnos after the prince and his allies. Since the fiend's true form exists in the space between worlds, the heroes are forced to enter this no-man's land in order to fight their decisive battle.

Dialogue

We did it! Did you see that?! Wooo! ...Hey, wait. What's that? It is an otherworld fragment. They are dropped by extremely strong foes, and contain unusual amounts of power. With the mana inside, one can warp the very fabric of space itself. Whoa. That's nuts. Well, in that case, let's take it with us! We should be able to find a use for something like that. The village is just over there. Please hurry, everyone! Right. Let's make sure Sylvia is okay. Gah! The prince and his lackeys are here! Oy, stop quakin' in yer boots already. We got...THAT! Remember?! Well, that can't possibly be goo—WHOA! RAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOORGH! Okay, I don't wanna panic anyone or anything, but PAAAAANIIIIIIC! I didn't even know they MADE fiends this big! GRAAAAGH! Uh oh. That's one heck of a wind. I'm gonna get blown away! You're not the only one in such danger! Just hang in there, everyone! We'll get our chance to move—I'm sure of it! An attack of this intensity will take an equal amount of mana. The fiend has to run out eventually! And then we move, yeah? Got it! Believe in His Majesty! GRAAAAAAORGH! The wind's weakening. Now, everyone! HAAAAAAH! That was...incredible. I can't believe we were victorious against such a monster! We might even be strong enough to... No. We MUST be that strong. At this rate, you might even be able to defeat...HIM, Euden. My, my. That WAS splendid! Though perhaps I should have expected as much from the traitor prince and his merry band. That voice... Now make like lightning and bolt before we mop the floor with your face. Heh. If you are truly so foolish, then perhaps the time has come to show you. Hypnos! Come forth once more from the space between worlds! Oh, come ON! That thing again?! Impossible... We defeated it! Yeah, this thing was definitely dead. Ah, what delightful panic on your faces! How I have yearned to see this! Now let me explain our little trick to you, so that I might see your panic change to utter despair. The Hypnos before you is but a shadow of the real thing. A copy, you might say. The true body exists beyond this place— in the space between worlds! But that's... That shouldn't be possible. Aaaaah ha ha ha! Your fear is delicious! How does it feel to know that you cannot possibly stand against your foe?! This guy is really getting on my nerves. Wait, Luca! Remember the otherworld fragment we picked up earlier? If we use its power to distort space... Oh ho! Then you have a means to stand against the true Hypnos, do you? Well, that will be great fun as well. Still, you should know that the copy's strength is nothing compared to that of the foe you plan to face! I cannot wait to see you all gibbering on the ground in utter defeat! We will never be defeated! That's right! If we can take it on face-to- face, we've got a great chance to win! Ain't met a fiend yet what I can't kill. No reason this one's any different.
