5 Nov 2019 Update
Merging the below discussion from a separate page (now deleted). Canim44 (talk) 00:22, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
An update on works in progress:
The list is outdated and needs a massive overhaul. Here's a summary of broad changes.
The release of new weaponry alone means that the page needed a big overhaul, as core weapon skills varied wildly in effectiveness and the new weaponry servers as a 'balancing force' since all the new weapon skills are attack skills. While not all attack skills are born equal when it comes to damage, range, and frame data, it's helped level out the playing field in terms of weaponry significantly. It's taken a very long time to get complete data for the new weapons for skill modifiers and frame data, so moving forward on this got delayed. Additionally, High Dragon Trials have taken over as a huge priority when it comes to weighting the importance of content adventurers excel at, and shifted the meta away from previous 'high dragon specialists' such as Fjorm, who now pales to Elisanne for higher difficulties of High Brunhilda's Trial. However, the list is not intended to evaluate purely for High Dragon Trials, as content such as Raids and Mercurial Gauntlet also push the envelope somewhat.
The writeups section needs massive redoing across the board, since they often reference the viability of specific core weaponry, now outdated, as well as viability in Standard difficulty of High Dragon Trials. If anyone with good game knowledge wants to try pitching in on rewrites, get in contact on discord.
The High Dragon Trials section needs to be redone, to account for expert and master difficulty levels. Suggestions for exactly how to do this would be helpful. In general, it's worth noting that the meta has tightened up, since higher difficulty levels has pushed the playerbase to focus primarily on the best possible picks for the fight to maximize success. An example of this is how Lin You, previously a popular character in standard difficulty, has rapidly fallen out of favor so teams can fit in a duplicate Wedding Elissane.
Thanks for reading this.

Note: Brunhilda is not yet in the Dragon tier list. She's the only 5 star dragon I can see that is missing in it. 73.69.59.33 09:20, 4 December 2018 (UTC)
I think it would be a good idea to a separate tier list for 4* units only, since the rates for 5* characters are fairly low in this game. There's a good number of decent 4* units available, and it could help new players who've had bad luck with their pulls find something among their character roster to work with for the time being.Guymanbrodude (talk) 20:10, 4 October 2018 (UTC)
For the recent Dragonyule event (12/16/2018 to 12/26/2018) Cibella is quite solid as a lead for the "Season's Beatings" battle (which is not co-opable). When promoted to 4 star and given a skill haste wyrmprint and skill haste teammate, Cibella's shield is up quite often which is very helpful for protecting teammates and especially for having readily accessible iframes. Iframe use is crucial if not bringing a healer helper because of the enemy damage output in wave 4. 73.96.86.194 00:08, 22 December 2018 (UTC)
- The people responsible for the tier list have been very busy with their life at the moment, so we don't really have a person responsible for keeping this up. If you're interested in doing so, come to the #wiki in the discord server and let people know. --Zeza366 (talk) 13:13, 22 December 2018 (UTC)
Just a quick question. I noticed that Sylas wasn't even placed on the tier list here, even as an unranked one, despite how he arrived before the Fire Emblem characters arrived. Just thought that maybe he should be added in as well.
I noticed alex was missing and characters a few months old were still unranked. Redid the tier list taking into account all the recent changes like double wyrmprint, equal coabilities for all, accessibility of wyrmprints and available content. Also separated sections by resistance, in most of the difficult content resistances natter so unit's within the same element but different resistances aren't even in direct competition most of the time so it didnt make sense to tier them as if they were. (although high mercury is definitely a curveball towards this way of thinking) ~merp 04:23:13 UTC Sunday, May 5, 2019
I'm still in charge of the tier list, and posting an extensive update within 24 hours of this discussion post. You're always free to offer help and ask to contribute! But it's ugly if literally anyone entirely redoes the page at any time. ~Shark3143, 12:40am EST Sunday, May 5th, 2019
Stayed up to finish the work I was nearly done with, hopefully didn't overlook dumb things but I felt the sudden need to be finished tonight. Feel free to reach out to me if you wanted to help contribute, but i'm still planning on maintaining, have people to help me with further updates, and I shouldn't be busy over the summer, so expect consistent timely updates every new banner. ~Shark3143, 1:50am EST Sunday, May 5th, 2019
I find it very difficult to read tier lists as a new player because I cannot recognize names of adventurers and dragons by seeing the small profile photos. They all look alike and small. I suggest you guys also add the names under profile photos in tier lists. Thanks. --94.54.28.142 09:07, 7 June 2019 (UTC)
Hi, we'll take this into consideration. We are currently revamping the tier list display though, so it may take some time. Discoomastar (talk) 10:32, 7 June 2019 (UTC)
