Luca's Sizzling Summer

Bright blue skies! Glorious cool water! Fresh ocean breeze! Now THIS is my idea of a vacation spot! I think you should restrain yourself a little. This is the BEACH, Cleo—it's no time to restrain anything! We DID come to have fun, so there's no real harm in letting your hair down a bit. See? He knows. Come on, everyone— I'll race you to the shore! No fair! I wasn't ready! Ha ha! Just ya wait—I'll show ya what a grown man can do! *sigh* I do hope he doesn't go overboard and create problems for everyone. I'm sure it will be fine. He's matured a lot. I hope you're right. Look at this, Euden! What a huge fish! Where'd you catch it? Near the shore over there. Think it'll be good eats? Lucaaaaa! Get back heeeere! I finished your saaaandcastle! The one you built halfway before ditching it and running ooooooff! Sorry, but the sea called my name. Well come and look at least—I made the thing big enough for me to live in! Nice! I'll be right there! Oh, uh, you can have this fish, Euden. Heh. Thanks. I'm always amazed at how you can make most anything fun. If you ain't havin' fun, you're wastin' an opportunity FOR fun! I can enjoy anything, anywhere. Anyway, smell ya later! Ha ha ha! Seeing him so happy makes coming here feel all the more worth it. Hey, Euden! Check it! ...Huh? Where'd everyone go? Man, and the sun's goin' down, too. We're gonna have to start headin' back. Guess I'd better look for the others. Can't believe they're making me find 'em! What a bunch of troublemakers. ...Okay, what the hell is going ON here?! I can't find 'em anywhere! They didn't leave me behind, did they? No, not ol' Luca! They wouldn't do that! But there's no one on this island except for us, and I don't even know where South Grastaea IS from here. ...GYAAA! Okay, what was that?! Somethin' in the woods?! Well, crap. I'm gettin' cold and hungry. *yaaaawn* And sleepy too, I guess. Maybe I'll just lie down and... No! I can't do that! If I fall asleep here, I ain't never gonna wake up again! Okay, deep breaths. Deeep breaths. Remember, you're Luca: the person who can enjoy anything! ...Which means I've gotta enjoy this, too! Hell, I bet the others will be back here before I even know it. Looks like it's time to have some abandoned-island survival fun! Yessir, I'll make it through this. No doubt about it! Thus did Luca's hot, hot summer begin...

Episode 2

Roughin' It

The prince and his friends came to a tropical island to have some vacation fun—but Luca had so MUCH fun that he was left behind! Stranded, he resolved to live as best he could in the harsh environment until help arrived. It was time for his new life to begin... Well, first thing's first—gotta make it through the night. Should probably start out by finding a place for a fire—preferably somewhere high-up and away from the tide. Hey, this looks like a good spot! Right! I've got a buncha dry wood and grass and stuff that looks like it'll burn, so now I just have to rub a couple pieces of wood together like sooo... Then transfer the ember to my pile of tinder... Ha! Piece'a cake! Us forest people REALLY know what we're doing! ...Wait, who am I even talking to? Heh. Guess a guy just can't help talkin' to himself more when he's alone. Next up, food and water. Let's do this! Good thing I was so close to that river. I've got water, grasses, and fruit now, which means I just need meat. Whoa! What was that?! Sweeeet! Looks like rabbit is on the menu tonight! Squeeeak... H-hey! Don't look at me with those big sad rabbit eyes! Are you alone out here, little guy? But you're so tiny! Squeeeak... All right, fine! I won't eat you—so stop looking at me like I will! Well, since we're both alone out here, whaddya say we team up? Squeak. Heh. Welcome to the team, friend! You want some of these grasses I scavenged earlier? Squeak! All right, Fluffy. This here's our new home. Squeak? What, Fluffy? Yeah, that's your name now. I mean, I gotta call you SOMETHING. And you're really fluffy, so Fluffy it is! Do you like it? ...Squeak. Not so hot, eh? Well, how about Hopsey? Or maybe...Fuzzbutt? Bucktooth McGee? Mr. Boing? Captain Springlegs? Phil? ...... Eh, let's just stick with Fluffy. So anyway, check the new place out. Not half-bad, if I do say so myself. Anyway, now that we have shelter, livin' out here is gonna be easy! I actually think it's gonna be fun. For starters, I can do whatever I want and no one will ever yell at me! Yessir, it'll be fun. I'm gonna have fun, fun, FUN camping in the wild all alone! The others will probably have to drag me from here kickin' and screamin' because I'm havin' so darn much fun! Right then! What should I do first? I could explore... I could fish... Or I could just take a big ol' nap in the middle of the day! Ha ha! Super fun, right, Fluffy? Squeak!

Episode 3

Adventuring with a Friend

Luca found himself all alone in the wilderness, but after discovering an unlikely friend in Fluffy the bunny, he resolved to enjoy his predicament. Phase One of Operation Island Fun: Exploring the Area! Let's go, Fluffy—we've got an abandoned island to check out! Squeak! Neither man nor bunny can resist the song of ADVENTURE! ...We're pretty deep in the forest now. Hey, look! There are signs of life here! I bet it's from an ancient island tribe or somethin' like that. Maybe they even hid TREASURE here. Oh man, this is GREAT! Let's keep moving. Hell, let's run! Hmm? The ground here doesn't exactly feel...firm... Aaauuugh! Whew! Well, damn. Who woulda thunk I'd stumble into a pitfall out here? If Elisanne was here, she'd be tearin' me a new one for lettin' my guard down. You good, Fluffy? Squeeeeak. Yeah, I guess it WAS kinda scary. Maybe we should hang up our adventurin' shoes for a bit. But I ain't gonna give up havin' fun, 'cause that's just who I am! Phase Two of Operation Island Fun: Fishing! I'm gonna catch big one after big one and become the island fishing king! Just you watch, Fluffy! It's me and my rod against the creatures of the depths, and I'm gonna WIN! Squeak! Oh boy, I caught another one! Squeak! Hell, I think I may have caught too many. What do I even DO with all these fish? I'll never eat all of 'em on my own. Geez. I wish my friends were here. They'd see all these fish, their eyes would grow to the size of saucers, and then we'd all gather round to a feast of... Heh. Listen to me getting depressed. I swore I was going to ENJOY this! Okay, forget the fish. I'm gonna lay me down and take a nice long nap instead. Nighty-night, Fluffy! That's a strange place to sleep, Luca. Euden?! Why do you look so surprised? Come on, let's go have some fun! Thanks for telling me about these berries, Luca. They're amazing! Don't go eatin' TOO many now. Otherwise, ya ain't gonna have space in yer chow chamber for the giant haul our fishing king caught! Did you make this treehouse by yourself? My, but you did a fine job. I did not know you possessed such talent. I find myself genuinely impressed. Well, I'm good for more than just causin' trouble, you know. I have finished preparing the fish. Oh, and here is some grass for you, Fluffy. Squeak! Dig in, everyone! Heh. This is so much more fun when everyone is together... Aw, dammit! Just a dream. Can't believe I'm dreaming of my friends. That's what lonely people do! But I ain't lonely. Hell, I got Fluffy! ...Wait, where is he? Fluffy? FLUFFY! FLUFFYYYYY! I've gotta find him! Ain't no tellin' what might happen to a little bunny all alone in the deep woods at night! Please be okay, Fluffy! Squeak! Fluffy! Is that you?! Wait, you're not Fluffy. Holy crap! It's a BUNCH of Fluffies! Squeak! Fluffy! You're okay! Squeak! I was crazy worried when you vanished like that, but I'm glad you're all right. These guys here your buds? Squeak. Guess they came to find you, huh? Well, don't keep 'em waitin'. Have a happy life, my friend. Squeak? Aw, don't worry about me. I've got friends a'plenty, and they're comin' for me soon. Anyway, nice knowin' you. Squeak! Man. All of a sudden I feel way loneli... No! I ain't lonely. I ain't lonely at all!

Episode 4

A Dream Come True

With his rabbit partner returned to his friends, Luca was left to continue his island life alone, and found himself staring out to sea. Man, I'm bored. I've done everything I wanna do, and none of it's any fun alone. That whole "I can have fun anywhere" thing was a big fat lie. So long as I'm alone, I... Aaargh! I'm so LONELY! Why hasn't anyone come for me? Why'd they leave me alone like this?! Do they not need me? Is that it? Was I just a joke to 'em?! I feel so lonely without THEM, but they probably ain't even noticed I'm gone! Lucaaaaa! Dammit, now I'm hearin' his voice on the wind. I must be losin' it. Lucaaaaaa! Wait. That actually IS his voice! So THIS is where you've been! Is it really you, Euden?! Can't believe ya managed to get THIS lost. We were all panicking like crazy when we realized you were gone! We never expected you would have wandered so far afield, which is why it took all this time for us to find you. We are just glad to find you well. Er, you ARE well, yes? I can't believe you're all here! Are you okay, Luc—Whoooa! I thought you'd abandoned me! We'd never abandon a friend! Yeah, I know—but at the same time, I couldn't help but get worried. We ain't been apart THAT long. It's only been a day and a bit. Wait, really? It feels way longer than that. All that boredom must have really stretched the time out. Hey, what happened to the funky, peppy Luca we all know and love? Were you THAT lonely without us? Don't tease me! Well, much as I'd like to say we should start making our way back, the sun has nearly dipped below the horizon. Indeed, it would be dangerous to go too far at this hour. We should make camp. You okay with that, Luca? Sure. In fact, I know a great place! Follow me, everybody! Did you make this treehouse by yourself? My, but you did a fine job. I did not know you possessed such talent. I find myself genuinely impressed. Huh? This is just like my dream... I guess sometimes dreams DO come true. I've finished cooking the fish, and crafted a makeshift soup out of the grasses. Dig in, everyone! Heh. This is so much more fun when everyone is together... And the night is only beginning! Let's get this tropical-survival party started!

Episode 5

An Important Lesson

Tropical-survival parties rock! Woo hoo! It's like we're swimmin' in seafood, and it's all SO DAMN GOOD! And hell, all we did was cook 'em up. Didn't add seasonings or nothin'. Yep, ya caught yerself a fine set'a fish, Luca. I've eaten so many I'm sick of the taste, but I guess I'll just... *nibble* Hmm. What is it? I dunno why, but this tastes way better than it did yesterday. That's because WE'RE here to help you enjoy 'em! Oh man, my appetite is back in force! *chomp* *horf* *snarfle* *drool* Slow down, Luca! And have some water before you choke! *cough* S-sorry. I felt so happy, my appetite just exploded. We have more than enough for all. So eat however much you want, but take the time to enjoy it. Good points. Thanks, everybody! Zzz... Zzz... Hmm? Where's Luca? Oh, there you are. Yeah. I was so bored that I slept all day, and now I can't doze off for the life of me. Heh. Was there really so little to do here? Notte and I both thought you'd be loving life out here by yourself. Me too! I was totally expecting to just kick back and have a ton of fun. I tried exploring. I tried fishing. But somethin' was just missin', and I didn't have much fun at all. I used to think I could have fun no matter where I was, but now... I guess times are only good when you're all there with me to enjoy 'em. Eventually, they all made their way back to the castle and returned to their normal lives. LUCAAAAA! Aw, crap! She's onto me! ANOTHER prank, you jerkstore?! Bwaaa ha ha! If ya ask me, this castle is better when it's lively like this. Yes, but it seems our Luca is even more "lively" than usual lately. It's probably because he learned an important lesson back on the island. What lesson is that? Luca! THERE you are! Noooo! She found me! Today you answer for your crimes! *sigh* If you ask me, the man seems not to have learned a single thing. Yeah, but look how happy he is. Ha ha ha! Now THIS is what real fun is! Pulling horrid pranks on others is FUN?! That is it! It is time for me to teach you all of the lessons you so clearly have not yet absorbed! You can't take my fun away from me! Ha ha ha! Man, this is why I love bein' with all you guys!
