Summary

Another Styx explains that the discord between Catherine and Eugene is the cause of the recent disturbances. The pair tries to reconcile, but the surface-level nature of it does not work with the Styxes, who continue to sow increasing amounts of chaos.

Even a dragon needs to wallow in her sorrows sometimes. Milk and tears and a dragon's yearning... Yeah, what she said! Now you listen up. Are you listening? Good. 'Cause you know my darling? The ugliness of your squabbling created a bad view of humanity in your original Sam, and that became the seed from which all the naughty copies sprung. That's why Sam fled the house. But if the two of you can patch up your relationship, I imagine the bad image it has of people will be dispelled. Suu! Suu! Suu! Suu! You were trying to get us to make up... Suu. But when all that effort came to nothing, anyone'd want a shoulder to cry on. ...... Okay, awesome, excellent narration. So how do we get all the other Styxes to stop running around causing trouble? The pranks and the milk-drinking come from the same place: A desire to forget how unbearable things are. It's...unbearable? ...I don't even remotely think what I said yesterday was uncalled for. However, I also realize things cannot simply continue on as they are. Regardless of intentions, I upset Sam— and more importantly, I'd like to put this awkward mood with Eugene behind me. So with that in mind... H-hold out your hand, Eugene! We shall shake and make up! Catherine, you really know how to push my buttons. But I feel the same as you do. I've been antsy and uncomfortable since yesterday. So yeah. Let's shake on it. ...Oh, gross. You're all sweaty. Honestly, you have no delicacy at all! Your hand is no less so! Well then, this should be enough for the other Styxes' hearts to be cleansed, which meeeeans... NOTHING! It means absolutely NOTHING! Kya ha ha ha! Oh, but you really are a naive bunch of saps! Wait, what's happening? This mealymouthed, skin-deep type of reconciliation won't do squat for the Styxes. Skin-deep? It's shallow and you know it! Something still lurks in the depths of your consciousness, and so long as it remains there... Hmph! Okay, this is NOT good! Let's grab Sam and run!
