In the midst of preparing for the party, a melancholy Nefaria muses about her past. However, Saint Starfall must wear a smile, so she cheers up and opts to take on the treant that is commanding the horde of fiends.

We've got forks and junk for everyone, as well as a huge pile of presents. I'm amazed everything is running so smoothly. I hope it continues until the night of the big party. Hey, boss! Memories aren't for making us feel lonely and down—they're for making us peppy and happy and generally awesome! ...... What are you two standing about for?
