Dreams A'wonder
My cute, marvelous dress had a nice
fluffy frill and big ribbons. Whenever I
picked up the skirts to curtsy, I felt
like the princess I wanted to be!
Yet, I was but a farmer's daughter,
and my parents spared no chance to
lecture me. "You can barely move in
those fool clothes, girl!" they said.
"How are you to work the fields?"
All I wanted to do was dress like a
princess, but they didn't understand.
So one especially bad day, I took
off running—tears streaming down
my cheeks—and ended up lost.
By the time I noticed what I'd done,
I was lost in a deep, dark forest.
My body quaked with nerves,
and I saw danger in every hesitant,
trembling step that I made.
Just then, I chanced upon a tiny little
workshop with two dragons inside!
"Welcome to our cute'n dreamy
shop!" said one. "Cre-cre!" (Have
yous a seat!) said the other.
The pair was a curious duo of smiths,
and their shop was filled to the brim
with sparkling, fluffy weapons.
It was like I had wandered into
some kind of wonderful dream!
"I've never seen anything like this,"
I said as I gazed around the shop.
"Right?!" replied one. "Gaibhne
makes all the weapons FUUULL of
the stuff Gaibhne likes!"
The dragon's words brought to mind
my earlier argument with my parents,
and a heavy gloom settled over me.
"Do people ask you to make such
strange weapons?" I inquired.
"Hee hee! No, I don't worry about
a little thing like that—I just make
whatever I feel like that day!"
"How does that not worry you?"
"If my heart isn't light and fluffy,
I get the sadsies! And Gaibhne with
sadsies isn't Gaibhne at all!"
Despite the shop being full of radiant
things, Gaibhne's face was the most
remarkable of all. I felt as if the light
she gave off made all the weapons
more wonderful as a result.
That's how I wanted to be! Radiant!
I wanted to follow my heart and
enjoy the all things I loved!
And so, a few years passed...
Farmer or not, I wanted to wear cute
clothes! After a fight with my parents
a few years back, I got lost in some
woods and met Gaibhne—a dragon
who gave me courage.
Now I'm a tailor, and EVERYONE can
share what I love! My dresses are
cute and marvelous, with lots of big
ribbons and extra-fluffy frills.
Oh, but that's not all...
The skirts and sleeves are hemmed
short to allow for free and easy
movement. That's right—it's workwear
styled like a dress!
People far and wide have come to
purchase my clothes, which have
become quite the rage. And it's all
thanks to that dragon in the woods!
Speaking of Gaibhne, I met another
unexpected person through my
work—a painter with a unique style.
After striking up a conversation,
the artist said this:
"I used to hide the fact that I liked
these kinds of paintings. But one day,
a dragon in the woods gave me the
courage to pursue my dream and
create the art that speaks to me."
What a shock to learn this artist had
also been influenced by Gaibhne!
I began looking for others, and soon
found singers, dancers, authors and
more who owed it all to the dragon.
So many people learned courage
from Gaibhne, which allowed them
to express their own unique vision.
Once I knew this, I got them all
together to go thank the dragon.
It's been a long time since I entered
the forest, but I remember the way.
Soon I come across the workshop,
but there's something different
about it...
The tiny shop is now a huge castle—
and it's SO CUTE! The grounds are
fluffy clouds! Soap bubbles waft to
and fro! And hanging above it all
is a gigantic rainbow!
"A'welcome back to our Cute'n
Dreamy Kingdom!" said Gaibhne.
"It's so great to see how well you've
done," I replied. "We're all so
very proud of you!"
But now, it's time to continue on.
All of us will share our passions with
more and more people, and soon
we'll have an entire world filled with
the sparkle of dreams!
