Trivia

  • Chrom is not a Dragalia Lost original character. He originates from Intelligent Systems' Fire Emblem video game franchise, first appearing in Fire Emblem Awakening, and also appears as a summonable Hero in the mobile game of the same franchise, Fire Emblem Heroes.
    • Interestingly, though the other Fire Emblem Adventurers share their Epithets between the two mobile games, Chrom does not use any of his Fire Emblem Heroes Epithets.
  • Unlike most Adventurers, Chrom does not say the names of his skills when he uses them. Instead, he says "Anything can change!" when using Exalted Sword, "Your end has come!" when using Aether, and "Our bonds give me strength!" when using Awakening Aether. He shares this trait with the other Fire Emblem Heroes collab characters: Alfonse, Veronica, Marth, Fjorm, Sharena, Peony, and Tiki.
    • "Anything can change!" and "Our bonds give me strength!" match special trigger quotes on Chrom: Exalted Prince in Fire Emblem Heroes. "Your end has come!" and "Anything can change!" match Chrom's critical hit quotes from his original game, Fire Emblem Awakening.
  • Chrom's weapon will change to the Fire Emblem Awakening version of Falchion during Exalted Sword, Aether, and Awakening Aether. He shares this trait of using special weapon skins during certain actions with Hunter Berserker, Hunter Vanessa, Hunter Sarisse, Grace, and Forte.
  • Chrom's skill Aether shares its name with a special in Fire Emblem Heroes and an equippable skill in the Fire Emblem series as a whole. It carries over its effect of restoring the user's HP based on the damage it deals. Chrom also has access to this special by default in Fire Emblem Heroes.
    • Aether's additional damage to afflicted foes in Dragalia Lost may be a reference to its defense-ignoring effect in the Fire Emblem series.
  • Chrom having Sleep Res may be a reference to an early scene in Fire Emblem Awakening, where he wakes up Robin and jokes that "There are better places to take a nap than on the ground, you know?"
  • Chrom's ability Rightful King is named after and has its icon styled after an equippable skill of the same name in Fire Emblem Awakening. It is exclusive to the Great Lord class, which is only available to Chrom and his descendants in that game.
  • In the background of Chrom's portrait, his younger sister Lissa can be seen on the left, while his deputy Frederick is on the right.
  • Chrom has a unique victory animation, where he will spin his sword and then stick it into the ground. This is a reference to his victory animation in Fire Emblem Awakening after he defeats an enemy.
