Summary

After hearing Chrom's story about the world's destruction at Thórr's hands, Thórr herself appears before the party. But the peril facing the world grows all the more dire when Empress Zethia appears as well.

Dialogue

As impressive as I'd expected... Sheathe your sword, Prince Chrom. We have no cause to fight. I know you must have your reasons, but I beg of you to share them with us! Your sister has entrusted me with the future, Prince Euden. You mean Zethia?! I was bested and captured by Thórr and sent to a world very much like this one, yet also different. It was a future version of this world— one about to meet its ruin at Thórr's hand. Wait, you were in OUR future?! Other worlds are but other possibilities, and it would be no surprise to learn that our potential futures were among them. In that world, I met Princess Zethia as she battled Thórr's forces of destruction.

Princess Zethia, Thórr's host is nearly upon us. I fear the castle is unlikely to hold for much longer. I am truly sorry to have involved an outsider like yourself in our tragedy, Prince Chrom. You needn't apologize. While our birth worlds may differ, our shared desire to bring peace to our lands makes us kin of another sort. I will not abandon this world merely because it is not my own. To do so would make me unworthy to sit on my own throne or any other. Your fight this day is also my own. Thank you, Prince. But I fear the forces pouring through the rift show no signs of diminishing. It is only a matter of time until— Has the attack begun?! Princess Zethia, I will halt Thórr's forces! Use that time to come up with some kind of plan! I will. Be careful! Thórr! Your will has gone unchallenged long enough! You may be called a god, but that does not give you the right to trample upon the lives of others! You have quite the penchant for resisting fate, O prince of Ylisse. But it makes no difference in the end. This world has already been judged. There is not a soul here worthy of becoming a heavenly hero. Now, feel the power of my divine hammer! No... The castle! This is but an omen—a prelude to this world's inevitable destruction. Prepare yourselves. It will be upon you soon. Rrgh... DAMN HER! I need to check on the others... Unnngh... Princess! Are you... No! Chrom, I... I have a favor to ask... Hold on, don't talk. I'll— *cough* Please, don't trouble yourself. I know my time is running out. We have a way to save this world now. I need you to take it back in time. Wha—through time?! Yes. Go to the past, and prevent this future of despair from ever coming to fruition. And please... Save my brother...

Is that really our future?! I understand if you find it hard to believe, but I assure you, it IS the truth. You are the root of that world's end. Your actions lead to its ruination. That's a lie! He'd never do that! I assure you, his intentions were pure. But the righteousness and compassion of the prince still cause the world's doom. And it all begins at this moment, with the rescue of Prince Alfonse. What? How?! When you freed the captive Prince Alfonse, you also unshackled his power. His power to open gates? Correct. Alas, this power caused the world to become riddled with rifts— a danger you likely understand far better than myself. I can think of numerous threats stemming from such a thing: Rampaging fiends, black mana floods, corruption from the space between worlds... So that's the reason you stopped us? It was a reason, but not the only one. Because the actual, direct cause of the world's destruction... Was Prince Euden accepting the power of the Other. Fie, but this is madness! Never in all the worlds would His Highness even THINK to do such a thing! To counteract an unworldly threat, he sought an unworldly power. Is such a thing truly so strange?  ! Do you find my story plausible, Prince? And if so, do you still have the confidence you can overcome the allure of power? I... There is no shame in desiring power— especially when you have devoted your life to fighting on the faintest of hopes. Thórr! So you're the god of war who's trying to destroy my world! Do not mistake me, O dragonblood prince. The destruction of worlds—or of men— is but the most trifling of matters to a god. We neither seek it nor seek to prevent it. But the souls of those who fight based on the thinnest of hopes are a beautiful thing, and worthy of admiration. You seek to doom their world only as a test to see if they can stop it! AAAARRRGH! Black mana is flowing out of Prince Alfonse's body! The force which you call black mana has amplified his gateway-opening powers to an exponential degree. There is no means within your power to stop it. The wheel of fate has already begun to turn toward this world's end. Well, isn't this just the most INTERESTING little chit-chat! Hmm? I see you just plopped yourself down in my world and made yourself at home, mmm? Guess I should have expected nothing less from a "god." Zethia! Princess Zethia! ...But wait, no. I sense a...wrongness about her. Yeeeaaah, it's Zethia, but also kinda not? See, she sorta got possessed by an evil entity and... Look, it's a long story. What is your business here, demon? Was I not clear? I'm here to stop you from running roughshod over my world. The rifts are closing! Is the Other doing this? Interesting. I would think one such as yourself would delight in the destruction of the world. By your hand? No. Now, if I'M the one doing the destructing... Well then, that's a very different story. I see. Well, as I have no such preference in the matter, allow me to entrust this vessel to you. Now THESE are the manners I expect of a guest! I shall accept your offering— goodness knows I've certainly received worse gifts in my time. Nnngh! Hey! You can't just pass around people's brothers like that! If the idea displeases you, claim him for yourself. He's right in front of you, yes? Oh, I wasn't waiting for your permission! We're taking Alfonse back, as well as my sister's body!
