Summary

Void dragons answering the control of Phares attack the prince and his friends, but a wounded Leonidas repels their assault. When Phares takes heel, the party pursues him to a body of water known as Lake Reeve.

Dialogue

Day 13, Month of the Lovely Dragon: It appears like this will be my final entry. I took a supposed wyrmscale cure I discovered in an ancient text, but feel no effect. My disease continues to plague me. I suffer from a kind of sensory paralysis. I lack all strength. My pulse slows. My hands are ice. My mind is in disarray. Why am I alone burdened with this curse? Fie, but I can stand it no longer. I don't want to die... I don't want to die!

Day 14, Month of the Lovely Dragon: I am alive. New strength courses through my body. It should be a moment for celebration. But it is of no consequence to me now... I remember this journal entry well. It was the day I survived.

Now the wyrmscale that once ate away at my body has become my very limbs. The shackles which bound me have gone. Thus, I have but to push forward on the path to the ultimate truth.
