Defensive Battle is an event type in which players must defend their castle Gate from waves of approaching enemies. This event type has only appeared once, in the Fire Emblem: Lost Heroes collaboration event. Its primary rewards included an exclusive 5 Adventurer, 5 weapon, 5 and 3 Wyrmprints, and Stickers.

Quest Types

Story Quests

Each Defensive Battle event includes a prologue story viewable upon first entering the Defensive Battle event menu, as well as 7 story episodes and a sprinkling of short quests to complete. These story episodes and quests must be completed to fully unlock most of the Defensive Battle event proper. Additionally, after the event has concluded, an epilogue story will be available to view.

Trial Boss battles

Trial Boss battles, stylized as (character)'s Trial, are more-difficult versions of the boss battles that took place during the event story. These quests have lackluster drop rewards, but offer large amounts of event currency on first clear.

Progression and Rewards

5 Adventurer

The Defensive Battle Event includes a free 5 Adventurer that temporarily joins the player's roster. By completing quests with this character on the team, event-related or otherwise, friendship points can be earned. Points earned are equal to the stamina cost for the quest cleared, but if an event-related quest is cleared then the points gained are doubled. Once friendship points reach their maximum, the Adventurer will permanently join the player's roster. Assuming the appropriate Mana Circle nodes have been unlocked, maxing friendship points will also make the Adventurer's story available to view.

If a Defensive Battle event ends but the free Adventurer's friendship points were never maxed, then they will not join the player's roster. However, should the Defensive Battle event be rerun, the Adventurer will retain their friendship points and any level or Mana Circle upgrades applied when the player last had them.

This Adventurer has an element advantage over their event's boss. Due to their status as free units, these Adventurers will have lower-cost Mana Circles and tend to have lower stats than 5 Adventurers obtained from Summoning.

5 Wyrmprint

A 5 Wyrmprint is available for completing the event story. Since the event is split into two parts, this is only possible once the second half of the event has begun.

3 Wyrmprint

Defensive Battle Events offer a free 3 Wyrmprint, but this Wyrmprint has more functionality than simply being a piece of equipment. These Wyrmprints have 1 normal ability and 1 event-specific ability to boost the amount of Event Points earned from their Defensive Battle Event's quests.

Several duplicates of this Wyrmprint can be obtained from the Event shop - enough to make 4 Max Unbound copies. It is highly recommended to equip these in order to earn the event's rewards more efficiently.

Once the event has ended, the event-specific abilities will disappear, but will re-appear should the event get a re-run.

Due to their status as free equipment, these event Wyrmprints have lower stats than 3 Eldwater-purchased Wyrmprints. These prints also sell for less Eldwater than typical 3 Wyrmprints do.

Event Shop

Every Facility Event features 2 forms of currency, differently-named for each event. For simplicity, we will call them T1 and T2 currency. T1 currency can be obtained from any quest, even those not associated with the actual event. T2 currency can only be obtained from event quests made available in the second half of the event.

The Event Shop primarily allows redeeming T1 and T2 currencies for various rewards, including additional copies of the 3 event wyrmprint. However, it is not possible to trade currencies up or down tiers.

Event Point Rewards

Each Defensive Battle event features a differently-named variety of Event Points that can be collected during the event. These points cannot be spent, but instead act as a score system, with rewards available depending on the total amount of points collected.

Event Points are available from all quests associated with a Defensive Battle event, but tend to appear in large amounts from the Alberian Front battle. The amount of points gained can be increased by meeting certain objectives, such as only bringing Adventurers of a certain element, not getting hit more than a certain amount of times, clearing within a certain amount of time, or defeating the Shadow Knight. Points can also be boosted by point-boosting abilities on equipped Wyrmprints.
