- In Greek mythology, Prometheus (meaning "foresight") was a Titan known for his advocation for humanity, creating them from clay and stealing the power of fire from the gods in order to give to humans. He is punished with eternal torment for his crime.
- In Dragalia Lost's interpretation, Prometheus grants his magical fire to a village struggling to use regular fire. The village prospers, but eventually Prometheus' magical fire grows out of control and destroys the village. In shame, Prometheus attempts to isolate himself from all humanity.
