• In Greek mythology, Zephyr or Zephyrus was one of the Anemoi, gods of the winds in the four cardinal directions. Zephyrus was the god of the west wind, considered the most gentle.
• In the Japanese translation of Dragalia Lost, Zephyr's name is instead Wakiyan. A similar word Wakinyan is the Lakota word for "thunder", "thunder spirits", or particularly "thunder birds". This refers to the Thunderbird, a creature in Native American mythology said to throw lighting at the creatures of the underworld.
