Dialogue

Error: Table Dragons not found.
Whoa, so THIS is a Yuletree? It's amazing!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
I'm glad we were able to put it up without any problems. Listen up, everyone! On Dragonyule, I'm planning to invite all the villagers to the castle for a big party. However, it's possible fiends could attack again, so we can't let our guard down. That being said, let's make sure it's a wonderful Dragonyule celebration!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Well, I've heard enough!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Hello, Xander. Care to help out?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Hmph! I'd typically never permit the affront of a vassal making demands of his king. However...
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Who claims the mantle of kingship? The rightful lord of this castle remains Euden.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Ha HA! I will not stand for such cheek when it comes from the lips of a shamefully deposed ruler.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
I am not the only former monarch here, Xander.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Yet I am the king and ruler of this castle! I speak it thus, and thus it is so! In any event, Euden... Have you not forgotten the most indispensable part of Dragonyule?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
If I have, I'm sure you're going to tell me all about it, aren't you?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Ha HA! So true. After all, one can hardly speak on matters of Dragonyule without ALSO mentioning that jolly bringer of good tidings, Saint Starfall!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Saint...Starfall?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Ah, right. You wouldn't know about him either...

To commemorate Ilia's birth, a great

many people gave the newborn's

family celebratory gifts.

Among those people was a person

who did not meet the infant goddess,

but instead placed their gift on a tree

in front of her home before departing.

According to stories handed down

over the long years, this person was

the incarnation of the Holywyrm

Elysium.

Three centuries later, the benevolent

king of a certain land took it upon

himself to mimic the particulars of

this tale.

He adorned himself with reindeer

horns and dressed like Elysium, then

traveled his kingdom placing gifts

beneath the eaves of homes.

His people delighted in these gifts,

and carried on the practice down

through the generations.

This gift-giver is now known as the

symbol of Dragonyule, Saint Starfall.

Error: Table Dragons not found.
He was a great king of deep mercy. Rather like me, wouldn't you say?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Are you SERIOUS right now?!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Indeed! Thusly shall I take it upon myself to bear the heavy crown of Saint Starfall! I shall set about my preparations with all haste. Come, lackies! Attend your regent!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Maybe the great and benevolent regent should zip his lip for a hot second!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Surely you doubt his plan as much as I do, Euden?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Yes, but I can't really fault his enthusiasm. Maybe we could let him try it and see how it goes?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Oh, come on! Don't be a chowderhead!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
The thought of this knave playing at Saint Starfall is an ill one indeed.
Several days later...
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Heave! Ho!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Xander?! What in the world is that statue?!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
It is a carving modeled on my own gallant visage! What say you? Inspiring, is it not?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Forget bein' inspired—the hell are ya DOIN' with the thing?!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Why, I'm gifting it to the people, of course.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
I fear you're grossly overestimating their need for such a present.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Hang on. That thing can't be cheap— especially considerin' it's a custom job. Don't tell me ya PAID for it?!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Worry not! I used the Dragonyule funds given to me by Euden.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Well. This is...not good.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
He's ruined Dragonyule already? I'm almost impressed.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Why the dumbstruck faces, my vassals?! Gaze instead upon the resplendent visage of this statue and be re-invigorated!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Urgh.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Fie, but I can abide this idiocy no longer! You, sirrah, must cast your eye inward and take a hard look at yourself! Guiding one's people to happiness! Bringing smiles to the countenances of all! THESE are the actions of Saint Starfall—and of a king. And yet, here you stand, bold as brass and more fool than the basest village oaf, having robbed the people of all cheer! Such actions cannot be forgiven!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Wh-what did you just say to me?!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
That's enough, both of you. Stop flapping your gums for one moment and listen to me. What Nefaria says is right—however, nothing will come from unfocused anger. And though it pains me to say this, I know Xander to be quite capable when he puts his mind to something.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Quite so and hear hear! This woman is—
Error: Table Dragons not found.
BUT! You're still acting like a fool. So if you really want to be a hero of the people, figure out a solution to this mess.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Urk! H-how can a mere scullery maid have such a fearsome presence?!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Hmm... Maybe things can work out with this group after all.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
What do you mean?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Well, Nefaria is calm and collected, while Xander is a man who acts first and asks questions... Never, actually. But somehow, Cleo seems to be able to keep both of them under control—and I think the three of them together are going to be perfect.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
You cannot mean—
Error: Table Dragons not found.
I do mean it. I want the three of you to work together and EACH be Saint Starfall.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Have you forgotten that I am sylvan?!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
That's even better! You'll learn all about Dragonyule and make some great memories along the way.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Great memori—
Error: Table Dragons not found.
An excellent plan! Now you two will know the sacrifice of playing Saint Starfall— and of course, come to appreciate me all the more in the process.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
I would settle for merely learning that you are not the hapless rapscallion you so clearly appear to be.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
How dare you, madam!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Enough, both of you! Uuurgh... This is already turning my stomach.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
...Right then. Xander said something about Saint Starfall wearing a red outfit. I tried to make something appropriate, but is this good enough? Does it suit me? Can I truly wear this and deliver gifts to everyone? Even Euden? Or am I just a foolish sylvan for even harboring such a thought?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Cleo, could I have a momen—whoa.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
ACK! Th-this it's not what it looks like, Euden!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Er, so you're NOT dressed up in a Saint Starfall outfit?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
That is what it was SUPPOSED to be, but I fear I may have gotten it wrong.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
There's no right or wrong to it, really.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
And yet, Dragonyule is a human festival.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Not here, it isn't. I want everyone in the castle to celebrate this day, no matter what their heritage may be. I'm not concerned with form or tradition. What's most important is that everyone enjoys themselves.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
And yet, is it truly acceptable for me, a sylvan, to do so?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Of course it is! Anyways, I'm going to get going. I'm trusting you with this, Cleo!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Very well. It seems I have a great deal of work ahead of me...
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Oh ho! This outfit... Ha HA! This outfit is splendid! Simply splendid!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Was it not arduous to prepare these garments for us, Cleo?
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Actually, I rather enjoyed it.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Then thanks to your efforts, we shall enjoy a festive Dragonyule season as well. I am most grateful, Saint Starfall Cleo.
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Y-you're welcome...
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Oh man, this ain't good. We got fiends incoming!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
Ha HA! In that case, Saint Starfall now departs for the brave front of gift-giving!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
We're going out in THESE outfits?!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
The queen over there said it herself: It is a monarch's duty to bring happiness to the people. If we lead the way and enjoy ourselves, the rabble will simply fall in line! Now then! If you are attendants who would serve their king, then obey a king's will! Follow behind me at once!
Error: Table Dragons not found.
I suppose the prince DID say he wanted to see me enjoy myself... So I am going to do just that—AND make sure everyone else does, too! I am Saint Starfall, guided by the prince! I fight to bring happiness to all!
