Summary

The cause of the surge of fiends in the Halidom is a strange magic sigil drawn by an unknown party — but the group's relief at getting rid of it soon fades when a giant pumpkin-headed fiend makes straight for a nearby village. With no time to rest, they ready themselves for batle.

Dialogue

We searched the castle and nearby woods, but couldn't find anything that would be causing these fiends attacks. Er, Euden? Perhaps you might come with me? I'd like to help you with this if I can. Oh, Silke! You're wearing a costume, too? Yes. The sylvan girl made it for me.

How does it look?

Pretty cute, actually. Eee hee hee! This makes me happy. So where is it you want to go? Wait, that's it? You're done complimenting me? ...Rrr. Fine, then. Follow me. Huh? What's with the graffiti? Is it some manner of drawing? It looks rather similar to the sun. What's a sun have to do with Halloween? You think it's marking something, maybe? If this is suppose to be a trick, it's not a very good one. ...Wait. That's no random drawing; it's a sigil that attracts fiends! I didn't know such a thing existed. They do indeed — although I'm certainly surprised to find one here.

This must be why all the fiends keep attacking the Halidom.

That certainly makes sense.

In that case, can we clean it up or erase it somehow? Or is it more complicated?

No, simply removing the sigil should be enough to solve the problem. Then let us do so at once. If I can remove a stubborn stain from my master's tunic, I can certainly clean away this foul sketch! All right! That taces care of it! I wish we'd noticed that before; we could have saved a good deal of trouble. Don't be hard on yourself — why would any of us pay heed to a mere scribble? However, I'm pleased to report no further signs of trouble around the castle — likely because we eliminated the sigil.

There's this absolute monster of a fiend with a pumpkin head, and he's getting ready to go TO town ON the town!
