General Damage Formula
This is the estimated formula to calculate adventurer and enemy damage. Damage dealt in dragon form, however, follows a different formula.
4/3(((100-Damage Cut)% x Skill Modifier % x Damage Spread % x Strength (STR) x Crit x Punisher)/(0.8 x (Enemy Defense x Enemy Defense Change) ))
| Variable | Description |
|---|---|
| Damage Cut | Sum of all resistance based effects. |
| Skill Modifier | If using a skill, the skill damage multiplier. Refer to specific skill pages for the numbers. |
| Damage Spread | This is essentially an "RNG" variable to determine the range of values a player can deal damage for. This usually ranges from 95% to 105%, but for simple calculations, 100% is sufficient. |
| Strength | See Strength section for a more detailed breakdown. |
| Critical | When a unit lands a critical hit, the damage will have a 1.5 modifier + Sum of other Crit Mods |
| Punisher | Sum of all active punisher type skills. |
| Defense | Base Defense for an enemy is 10 while Golem-type enemies have a base Defense of 50. Rare enemies can have a defense range anywhere between 12 to 250. |
| Defense Change | Modifier sum of all status changes which have an effect on defense. This is mostly used to calculate enemies that are in Break mode. For most enemies in break mode, the modifier will be 0.6. Golems have a 0.3 Break Defense Modifier. |
Strength Breakdown
The formula for Strength breaks down into the following:
Displayed Strength x (STR Boosting Skill(s) x STR Boosting Abilities x Wyrmprint Abilities
x CoAbilities x Elemental Bonus x Overdrive Mode Bonus
| Elemental Bonus | Value |
|---|---|
| Neutral | 1 |
| Advantage | 1 |
| Disadvantaged | 0.5 |
- Overdrive Mode bonus is 1 for Adventurers and 1.2 for Enemies.
