This Dragalia Lost tier list ranks characters based on their strengths and weaknesses and overall performance. The purpose of these tier lists is to provide a base level of insight on the various characters in Dragalia Lost. Tier lists are always subjective in nature, so keep that in mind when evaluating them.
- Due to how new the game is, ratings may change rapidly.
- Rating criteria will likely shift with the release of harder content and raids.

Unranked -> A | Beautician Zardin is an interesting character, with numerous strengths but not lacking in flaws. His most notable niche is inflicting long, repeated stuns in one use of his S2, making him a prime choice for fights like Raging Manticore Strike. Against enemies that resist stun, however, it's not worth using his S2 buff for damage, as the energy stacks don't justify sitting through the skill animation instead of attacking. Unless you utilize the skill as an iframe, it's largely useless and wasting time on his solo energy stacks will result in lower overall damage output. His abilities are good on their own, but put together they don't form a cohesive kit - Striker's Energy is hard to trigger due to the blade's weak Force Strike, and considering that he only has one damage skill, Skill Damage isn't the most useful on him, either. He won’t find another damage skill on the 5.3 Light blade, so his damage output isn’t stellar. Zardin is workable, but largely overshadowed by other Light-attuned attackers at his level, so he relies on his ability to chain multiple stuns to be valuable. |

Unranked -> A | Much like other characters who rely on afflictions, Yachiyo can be inconsistent, but has potential for high damage. When she inflicts paralysis using her S1, she gains a short Strength buff thanks to her Paralysis = User Strength. While this is a good ability in a vacuum, it only activates if Yachiyo successfully paralyzes, which can lead to anti-synergy with other adventurers. In other words, adventurers like Albert or Fleur might end up blocking Yachiyo by inflicting paralysis before Yachiyo can, as only one paralysis can be inflicted at a time on a single target, which makes Paralysis = User Strength much less flexible than her Paralysis Punisher passive. Yachiyo's kit isn't based solely on afflicting paralysis, though - the buff granted by her S2 empowers her Force Strike into what basically amounts to another damage skill that does a disproportionately large chunk of damage to the overdrive gauge. Yachiyo has solid damage output overall versus enemies susceptible to paralysis, but she’ll lag behind versus immune enemies, and she doesn’t have the greatest choice in weaponry as the 5.3 Light blade has a middling self heal skill rather than a damaging one. |

Unranked -> A | Norwin possesses a kit that leans entirely into the blind affliction in a manner comparable to Nefaria. His Blindness = Team Strength passive sets him apart, which allows him to buff the entire team's strength for 10 seconds when he successfully inflicts blind. His own damage is high for a bow adventurer, since he has access to three attack skills between his own kit and the 5.3 Shadow bow, plus he gets large amounts of boosted damage versus blinded enemies thanks to his Blind Punisher passive and boosted S2. His whole kit is easily invalidated by enemies who resist the blind affliction, but he performs well if it works. When comparing him to the very similar Nefaria, Norwin’s damage has an edge over her thanks to his team-wide strength buffs, but Nefaria would be better suited to carrying allies much weaker than her since she focuses entirely on her own damage. |

B+ -> B | Berserker is full of problems, but was previously rated higher as an Imperial Onslaught specialist since full blind immunities were a rare premium among the cast. However, the release of Alex and Norwin make his niche less unique, and Imperial Onslaught carries a lower weighting on the tier list these days, as the accessibility of harder content increases and Master IOs are largely trivial for veteran players. Berserker still has a decent AoE on his S1 to sweep up adds, but his S2 is nearly worthless and he doesn’t have access to more than one damage skill to utilize Striker’s Skill with, so his overall damage output isn’t great, and the 5.3 Shadow sword has a particularly underwhelming defense buff that does him no favors. Due to his poor kit and the increased accessibility of blind res, he has been dropped. |

B+ -> A | Erik is a simple, effective character that doesn’t rely on gimmicks, with a solid mix of damage output and AoE. The other characters remaining in B+ can do well in specific circumstances, but are held back by being reliant on ailments or situational damage increases such as maintaining full health. Erik is being raised since, unlike them, his basic toolkit can work in all types of content. It’s also worth noting that the critical damage buff from the 5.3 Shadow axe is no longer useless, since changes to wyrmprints have made it quite easy for axe users without any critical skills or passives to reach a decent critical rate through prints such as Kung Fu Masters, which pairs very nicely with Flower in the Fray or Silke Lends a Hand. |
Lua error: Error: Table Adventurers not found.. |
B+ -> A | Zace performs well thanks to his Skill Damage passive and his multiple attack skills, including access to a great attack skill from the 5.3 Shadow lance. His damage could be a bit higher since the base skill damage on his own attack skills is a bit low, but his Skill Damage passive easily compensates for it. Zace is being raised since his kit is effective without being reliant on conditional damage boosts, while other Shadow adventurers remaining in B+ struggle to maintain effectiveness in all types of content. His damage is a little bit lower than the Shadow adventurers in A, but he has a couple advantages, such as the long range on lances and his ability to apply blind. |

A+ -> A | While Karina has incredibly high damage thanks to her hard hitting attack skills on top of the very good 5.3 water axe, but she’s unfortunately not well suited for current content. She lacks access to a Scorching Air Res weapon to make her viable for Void Agni, and her lack of burn resistance makes her a dangerous pick for High Brunhilda, despite her damage output and very useful co-ability. She performs very well in event content and Imperial Onslaught, but IO’s carry a lower weighting on tier lists these days as the accessibility of harder content increases, and Master IO’s are largely trivial for veteran players. |
Lua error: Error: Table Adventurers not found.. |
A+ -> A | It’s difficult for Cleo to live up to her full potential since the strength buff, critical rate, and energy stacks granted by her S1 only apply to nearby allies. She also isn’t very well optimized for harder content, since Void Agni is immune to her freezes and her lack of burn resistance makes High Brunhilda rather difficult for her. |
Lua error: Error: Table Adventurers not found.. |
A+ -> A | Dragonyule Xander has too many problems with his kit thanks to his poor passive abilities, and his S2 is restricted to buffing only nearby allies, which is particularly frustrating as a ranged character. He’s not a good pick for Void Agni, as he can’t easily buff his melee allies without seriously endangering himself by wandering into the scorching air, and Void Agni himself is immune to being frozen. While Xander has good damage output and can freeze enemies left and right with his S1, he doesn’t perform well in current content. |
