This Dragalia Lost tier list ranks characters based on their strengths and weaknesses and overall performance. The purpose of these tier lists is to provide a base level of insight on the various characters in Dragalia Lost. Tier lists are always subjective in nature, so keep that in mind when evaluating them.

• Due to how new the game is, ratings may change rapidly.
• Rating criteria will likely shift with the release of harder content and raids.

General Adventurer Tier List

This list is a tiering of characters for general content, where most all adventurers can perform in. For a list of characters viable in specific content (e.g. High Dragon Trials), please see the section for the Specific Content Adventurer Lists.

Rating Definitions and Criteria

Rating definitions

• S/S+: Characters that perform their roles exceptionally well.
• A+: Characters that can perform their role well, only having minor issues.
• A: Characters that can perform their role well, but are not exceptional.
• B: Characters that can perform their role, but are held back by stats or other weaknesses, or are simply outclassed.
• C: Characters that cannot perform their role well, fill a niche that is not required, or outclassed by units in the B tier.
• D: Characters with serious problems.
• Unranked: Recently released characters that haven't been ranked.

Criteria:

• Adventurers are assumed to be promoted to 5 and to have all unlocked mana circles besides co-ability improvements and items (45 circles).
• Adventurers are assumed to have an optimal dragon equipped.
• Adventurers are assumed to have access to a 5 weapon.
• Adventurers are assumed to fight with elemental advantage.
• Adventurers are compared within their own element first before being compared to Adventurers in other elements.
• Adventurers are assumed to be controlled by the player, AI is not taken into consideration.
• The content considered are Master Dragon Trials, Master Imperial Onslaughts, Raid Events, and Facility Events. High Dragon Trials are not taken into consideration.
• Wyrmprints are not taken into consideration.

Adventurer	Tier Change	Description
	Unranked -> S+	Hildegarde has a strong healing and support kit thanks to her potent regen heal, shields, and energy stacks. She starts strong out of the gate thanks to her 100% Skill Prep, and can immediately start the fight with 3 energy stacks by using both abilities, so it’s reasonable for Hildegarde to energize the entire team during a quest with no further synergy or support from other energy characters. The total healing of her first skill is very high, but its charge time is below average at 7700 SP rather than the usual 5900SP for an S1 heal. Despite the slower charge time, it would take a very lengthy quest for other good healers to challenge Hildegarde’s healing output, because she starts with 100% Skill Prep and can eventually energize her own heals. The actual value of shield skills can vary, but it’s worth noting that the strength of shields are determined by the user’s HP rather than the recipient’s, so the value of shield skills is higher on healers since they often equip HP dragons to scale recovery potency.
	Unranked -> A	Ezelith has a decent kit with multiple attack skills and okay passive abilities, but her damage output is middling. She’s better than most archers since she doesn’t rely on finicky status-based gimmicks, her burn applications are a tiny percentage of her damage, and the defense down debuff from her S2 works consistently since it isn’t resisted by bosses. However, her damage contribution remains less than impressive, so it’s mostly her full ailment resistance and Broken Punisher that set her apart from those rated below her.
	Unranked -> B	Orion’s damage is decent despite his single damage skill since he has access to elemental weapons with attack skills, and his defense buff helps his damage slightly by triggering his own 8% Strength Doublebuff. However, his 75% Curse Res does him no favors in fire-advantaged content, and his damage isn’t so great as to be worth a higher ranking. As a side note, the percentage-based burn damage from his S1 was patched out of the game very quickly, and it now functions as a regular burn based off player damage.
	C -> B	Marty’s previous assessment was slightly too harsh. While he still has problems, his damage output is worthy of B tier since he has good frame data on his S1 attack skill and he also has access to good damage skills from elemental weapons.
	B -> C	It’s become increasingly obvious that daggers in general are a bit underpowered. Their regular attack chain has low damage output that struggles to keep up with even bows and spears, which have lower natural damage to compensate for the privilege of staying further at range and attacking continuously. Renelle appears usable despite her dubious 75% Curse Res since she has access to multiple attack skills with decent AoE potential, but the low base damage of these skills on top of the already low output from daggers does her no favors. She struggles to find a niche and lacks usable ailment resistance for fire-advantaged content.
	B -> C	Melsa suffers from many of the same problems as Renelle. Notably she’s stuck using daggers, her skills don’t have good base damage or frame data, and her passives are a bit of a mess. Despite access to an attack skill from 5* Fire Dagger, her overall damage output is low even assuming perfect Flurry Devastation uptime, and her half ailment resistance cuts into her usability.
	C -> B	Berserker is plagued with problems between poor weapon selection, a nearly meaningless S2 buff, and an awkward, low impact skill damage stacking mechanic that only affects his single attack skill. However, when it comes down to it, his damage could be worse, he has a good AoE skill to help compensate for the annoying knockdown problem of the sword moveset, and he also has a rare immunity to blind.
