Weapon Crafting

Weapons in Dragalia Lost have both a HP stat and a Strength stat that increases based on their level. These weapons can be equipped by characters to raise their HP and Strength.
By default a character uses a Level 0 weapon with 0 HP and 0 Strength, but weapons with stats can either be obtained as drops from quests, chests found during quests, or even stronger weapons can be crafted once the Smithy is unlocked after Chapter 2: 6-2.
Acquiring Weapons
2
Weapons drop from quests and are usually in the chests.
Weapons with higher rarity need to be crafted in the Smithy which unlocks in Chapter 2: 6-2.
3
Weapons are instantly available for crafting, while 4
Weapons can only be crafted when your Smithy is Level 4 in the Castle. 5
Weapons require Level 7 Smithy.
Leveling weapons
Weapons can be leveled with either other weapons or by using Whetstones.
Whetstones drop in a few story quests and can also be acquired in the daily Item roll. The most reliable source for Whetstones is The Imperial Onslaught, but this challenge quest only unlocks after Chapter 6 is cleared.
Additionally, each day 3 Gold Whetstones can be purchased in the shop for 10,000
each.
Enhancing Weapons
- See also: Weapon Tree
Crafted weapons have three tiers. The second tier will unlock a weapon skill, while the third tier will improve the skill as well as give the weapon an element.
If your adventurer has the same element as the weapon it wields, the stats of the weapons get a 50% bonus which stacks multiplicative with the Dragon boosts.
Weapon Recommendations
- 3
Tier 3 weapons are recommended as a starting goal; however, it is NOT recommended to unbind them. - Instead of unbinding 3
Tier 3 weapons, at this point, 4
weapons should be craftable. Start working towards 4
Tier 2 to replace the 3
Tier 3 weapons. - While costly (320,000 rupies), 4
elemental weapons do give a hefty boost on element, and is strongly recommended to have one crafted for main characters brought into co-op. However, do note that upon transformation, elemental weapons do lose ~40 Might. If near a Might threshold to unlock a higher level quest, consider holding off on upgrading. Additionally, 4
elemental weapons may be worth the investment due to the fact that 5
elemental weapons may not be easily accessible for some time. - 5
weapons are currently time-gated by facility level 300, and additionally, it is not possible to progress past Tier 1 due to the materials not being currently farmable. Additionally, their stats are overall worse than 4
elemental weapons and also lack the skills provided from Tier 2/Tier 3 4
weapons.
