Summary

The party succeeds in freeing Wu Kong from the Jin Gu Er's thrall. Feeling that her lack of belief in Wu Kong was the cause of all their troubles, Xuan Zang swears to have faith in the future from that point on. Afterward, the group finally arrives at the Qilin village.

For one who wishes to become a sealer, it worries me to hear you ask that. Your burden is the power of one of the Qilin relics I have entrusted you with. Take a guess as to which one. But let's say this theoretical bag cannot produce anything BUT cake. What, then, do you think would happen if you were to find a bag that could make cookies? OUTTA THE WAY, GRANNY! GIMME THAT BAG! That's 'cause there ain't no limit to desire. It's tough to be satisfied with what ya got. Huh. I figured the ancient Qilin would be better than that, but maybe not. No matter how much secret, mysterious knowledge they might have had, they were likely just like us deep down. That might be part'a why all the modern Qilin don't come out all that much. Right. If people with that much power spent time in the human world, we might come to rely too much on them. So instead, they hide themselves away and send sealers out into the world to undo the damage of their ancestors. It is no easy thing to own one's mistakes. As such, I find their spirit more impressive than their technology or knowledge. They know and accept their past, and also try to learn from it. They're an impressive bunch, all right. Plus they get REALLY scary if you ever get 'em mad! MASTEEEEER! FORGIVE MEEEEEE! Heh heh heh... A word, Euden? Yes? I wish to thank you. Had you not been here, I would not have freed Wu Kong. I think you had much more to do with it. You're the sealer, after all. And yet, I was ready to surrender my pupil's life until you taught me to have faith in the future. I believe he will someday be a sealer who far surpasses me, which will drive all worries far from my mind. So I am trying to believe in his talent— and his future. Yours as well, I hope. Mine?
