Y'know, I feel like most living things

instinctively relax when they're

snuggled up in a small, cozy space.

Animals and insects don't just

wander about under the hot sun.

They like to sneak around in the dark

and go out under the cover of night.

Y'know how the Pallid Imp said:

"We're creatures of darkness, and

the sun's our mortal enemy"?

Well, the same goes for me.

Besides, if I stay away from other

people, I won't catch diseases or

anything, and I also won't have to

worry about war. It's perfect.

...Huh? That sounds like the lonely

life of a shut-in? Aw, don't worry

about me. I may be alone,

but I'm not LONELY.

Heck, I have plenty of friends.

Like the slimes!

See, a long time ago, I used to be

pretty good friends with the slimes.

They were my neighbors in the ruins.

Ever heard of 'em? They're all squishy

and they hide in pots and don't ever

leave—not even to eat or use the

bathroom. They're the world's most

hardcore shut-ins.

I always thought living in a pot

sounded awesome, so I asked the

slimes to teach me. And let me tell

you, it was GRUELING.

You have to wriggle your body

around just right to fit. Then you

gotta jump to get anywhere, but you

can't see where you're going.

It makes you really dizzy!

So yeah, it was tough—but after

months of training from dusk 'til

dawn, I finally mastered the art of

pot-living. Just like a slime!

But humans have this misconception

that any pot they find in the middle

of nowhere must have a slime in it—

and also that slimes are an enemy.

And let me tell you, I got SO fed up

dealing with round-the-clock,

unprovoked attacks when I was

living in my pot!

Eventually I gave up and just

became a regular ol' shut-in.

Still makes me sad to think about...

Y'know, Euden,

you should try shutting yourself up in

your room after a long day of

fighting. It's VERY relaxing.
