I was made to fight against my will, and before I knew it, the others in my company were dead. I was heavily wounded, and certain my short life had reached its end.

Euden! Come quickly! Ranzal and Jakob are fighting! What?!

Why did you challenge Ranzal? I had a realization when talking to you the other day, Euden. I respect Ranzal. So if I could defeat him, I was sure everything would go well. And I was certain Cleo would understand how I feel. But our fight ended in a draw—AND I caused trouble for Ranzal as well. I'll have to buy him a meal later. It seems I've a long way to go as a man. Heh. You don't do anything by half-measures, do you? But look, if you're brave enough to challenge Ranzal, you're going to be just fine in whatever you decide to do.
