Dialogue

Euden: *huff* *puff* That's the last of the fiends. Let's keep going!

Ranzal: Hang on, Euden!

Ranzal: Ya gotta take care of them wounds first, or ya ain't gonna make it much farther.

Euden: But if we stop to tend to my wounds and the Flamewyrm dies, then—

Cleo: I promise to be quick about it.

Ranzal: Things are lookin' grim, but that ain't no reason to be rash. Can't save anyone if yer dead, after all!

Euden: *sigh* All right. Do it.

Euden: It's just... The dragon needs me. Zethia needs me.

Ranzal: What they need is for you to keep yer damn head screwed on straight.

Ranzal: Zethia's tougher'n she looks.

Euden: I've known her a lot longer than you, Ranzal. She's a sensitive soul, and this has to be taking a toll on her.

Ranzal: Really? That ain't how she struck me at all.

Notte: She's a hard worker! I'll vouch for that.

Notte: But when she was little, she was always crying. Waaaaaaay more than most kids.

Euden: Her kindness made her vulnerable. But after our mother died, she changed.

Euden: She started smiling more around me and Notte. Honestly, I think her pain is so big that she feels a need to hide it.

Euden: She doesn't want us to worry about her.

Euden: I know that's what she's doing now, and it just kills me.

Euden: Do you understand now?

Euden: Every minute I spend here is a minute I'm not there for her, so of course I don't care about a few cuts and bruises.

Cleo: ...Finished. How does it feel?

Euden: ...Hey, yeah. I DO feel better. I can't believe how fast you were!

Cleo: Well, you did impress a certain sense of panicked urgency. Now come, everyone! We have a Flamewyrm to find!
