Altering recommendation to now prioritize standard composition. Also add Rodrigo to eKY. Add historical compositions for mHJP that still work but no longer optimal as notes.) |

This is a guide for efficiently progressing to and through endgame content in Dragalia Lost after you have cleared through at least Chapter 9 of the Normal difficulty story quests in order to have unlocked all features and quests.
The current endgame content is regarded as Expert and Master difficulties of Advanced Dragon Trials (aka. High Dragon Trials, or HDTs), as well as Expert and Master difficulties of The Agito Uprising (e.g. Volk's Wrath).
Preparation
Facilities
Facilities that increase the stats of adventurers are a large contributor to a unit's HP and strength and leveling them is a crucial step for preparing for endgame content.
| Facility | Upgrade Material Source | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Altars | Elemental Ruins | |
| Dojos | Imperial Onslaught | Has large increases in bonus stats granted at levels 16 and 31 |
| Slime Statues | Void Battles | Purchased from Treasure Trade for Void Battles and all upgrade materials come from various Void Battles |
| Event Facilities | Facility Event | Buildings that are gifted to the player during special Facility Events (e.g., Arctos Monument from Flames of Reflection). |
Adventurers
Given the difficulty of endgame quests, adventurers should generally be upgraded as much as possible to maximize the chances of success. This includes:
- Promotions — 3
and 4
adventurers should be promoted all the way up to 5
- Mana Circles and Mana Spirals — for adventurers without mana spirals, at a minimum, 49 nodes (only missing the Error: Table Materials not found.node), preferably 50, in the base mana circle should be unlocked. Additionally, for adventurers that have a mana spiral, those nodes should also be unlocked as far as possible. Some of the later nodes in the mana spiral require materials dropped in Advanced Dragon Trials; a small, limited amount may be obtained from trading Fafnir Medals.
- Augments — Error: Table Materials not found.s andError: Table Materials not found.s can add up to +100 base HP and +100 base strength to an adventurer. This amount is further multiplied by facility bonuses and stat-boosting abilities, and can provide a substantial increase in stats.
- Note that certain adventurers may intentionally want to not augment their HP, to make it easier to activate abilities that activate at low HP, such as Error: Table Abilities not found.Error: Table Abilities not found.Error: Table Abilities not found.orError: Table Abilities not found.Error: Table Abilities not found.Error: Table Abilities not found..
- Note that certain adventurers may intentionally want to not augment their HP, to make it easier to activate abilities that activate at low HP, such as
- Teammate Co-abilities — your inactive teammates contribute their co-abilities even in co-op, so it's important to set up your team with appropriate co-abilities. Co-abilities (and chain co-abilities) should be selected in order to strike a balance between DPS and survivability.
Wyrmprints
The effects of wyrmprints range wildly, so picking appropriate wyrmprints for endgame quests for your adventurer is critical. Besides choosing the appropriate prints, the prints should be max unbound and also preferably max augmented with +100 HP from
s and +100 strength from
s. While wyrmprint stats do not get multiplied by any facility, the +400 total stats from two fully augmented wyrmprints is still a significant boost, and as they are base stats, they can be further multiplied by abilities.
Dragons
With some few exceptions, players are expected to have appropriate 5
gacha dragons that are max unbound, and at max level, for all endgame content.
Weapons
| Notable Weapons | |||
|---|---|---|---|
| Source | Can be Dismantled | Notes | |
| Void Bane | Void Zephyr Strike | Yes | Has +30% damage bane ability versus a High Dragon |
| Chimeratech | Volcanic Chimera Strike | No | Requires having owned the void manticore weapon of the same type and element to craft |
| High Dragon | Advanced Dragon Trials on Expert and Master difficulty | No | Requires having owned the core 5T3 and void bane weapons of the same type and element to craft |
| Agito 6 |
Volk's Wrath | No | Requires having owned the Chimeratech Tier 2 weapon of the same type and element to craft |
The relative strength of the various top-end weapons from weakest to strongest are:
In High Dragon Trials

All weapons are assumed to be max unbound and on-element (same element as adventurer) unless otherwise specified.
Void Battles
While there are many Void Battles whose weapons are critical for strengthening your party and preparing for endgame content, there are a number that are considered skippable and largely unnecessary. This section will focus on an efficient progression path for the more important Void Battle quests. For a more comprehensive overview of Void Battles, please refer to Void Battles Guide or Void Battles List.
- (optional) Farm a Catoblepas Void Battle for a tier 2 void weapon with
Spectral Shield Penetrator of the appropriate element. - (optional) Farm a Phantom Void Battle for a tier 2/3 void weapon with
Chimera Bane. - Farm Chimera Void Battles for Chimeratech weapons.
- Farm Void Dragons for Void Dragon Hearts for HDT weapons and the Void Bane weapons for unlocking HDT weapons.
Note that some of the Void Dragons may require or be significantly easier with void weapons from other fights (e.g.,
weapons from
Obsidian Golem Strike for
Void Agni), but for most high base might weapons such as on- or off-element CT2 are sufficient.
Steps 1 and 2 can be skipped if you have core 4
tier 3 weapons or better, and are playing in co-op.
Advanced Dragon Trials and The Agito Uprising
Unlocking Advanced Dragon Trials requires first clearing the Master difficulty of the dragon in Dragon Trials. Unlocking The Agito Uprising requires having cleared Chapter 10 of the main campaign, and the Standard difficulty of any High Dragon Trial. Standard HDTs can be done in any order, though their difficulty varies;
- High Midgardsormr's Trial and High Mercury's Trial are considered the easier standard difficulty HDTs.
- High Brunhilda's Trial and High Zodiark's Trial are considered to be medium difficulty.
- High Jupiter's Trial is the most difficult, and can still easily defeat unaware or poorly equipped players, even after significant improvements to adventurers and their equipment.
For Expert and Master difficulties of HDTs, along with Expert difficulties of Agito, there are recommended orders in which to defeat them as each HDT drops materials to craft weapons of their element that are strong against the next High Dragon, and not all the quests of the same difficulty level are equally accessible.
- Note that if playing as a healer, or a supportive role adventurer, one may opt to skip crafting any High Dragon weapons and use the Chimeratech Tier 2 weapon to clear The Agito Uprising content, and go directly to 6
weaponry.
Wind-Water-Flame HDT Cycle
- Due to general powercreep, it might be feasible to skip most of these steps, and start defeating Volk's Wrath: Expert and High Midgardsormr's Trial: Master with Chimeratech T2 or 0UB Agito weapons.
- Start in High Midgardsormr's Trial: Expert to craft a HDT1 wind weapon
- Clear High Mercury's Trial: Expert with the HDT1 wind weapon and craft a HDT1 water weapon
- Clear High Brunhilda's Trial: Expert with the HDT1 water weapon
- Go back and clear High Mercury's Trial: Master more to MUB the HDT1 water weapon
- Clear High Brunhilda's Trial: Master with the MUB HDT1, and farm it and eHBH enough to craft a HDT2 weapon, and then optionally MUB it with Damascus Ingots or duplicates.
- Clear High Midgardsormr's Trial: Master with the HDT2
- Clear High Mercury's Trial: Master with a HDT2 wind weapon
Light-Dark HDT Cycle
- Start in High Zodiark's Trial: Expert with a MUB Void Bane weapon or an off-element MUB HDT2 or 6* weapon
- Clear High Jupiter's Trial: Expert with a HDT1 from eHZD
- Clear High Zodiark's Trial: Master with a MUB HDT1 from eHJP
- Clear High Jupiter's Trial: Master with a MUB HDT2 from mHZD
Alternative Route (Light Agito):
- Clear Kai Yan's Wrath: Standard with shadow Chimeratech Tier 2 weapons, to craft a 6
0ub with the first clear rewards - Clear Kai Yan's Wrath: Expert with 6
0ub weapon to max unbind the 6
- Clear High Jupiter's Trial: Expert with Shadow 6
0ub or better and craft a HDT1 light weapon - Go back and clear Expert High Jupiter more to MUB the HDT1 light weapon
- Clear High Zodiark's Trial: Expert with the MUB HDT1 light weapon
- Clear High Jupiter's Trial: Master with the MUB Shadow 6
weapon - Clear High Zodiark's Trial: Master with the MUB HDT2 light weapon
The alternative route provides Shadow-attuned adventurers with weapons that are better than even the HDT2 crafted from materials from High Zodiark's Trial: Master, and hence it is not required to farm the latter quest.
The Agito Uprising
Unlike Advanced Dragon Trials, The Agito Uprising quests drop materials for crafting weapons of the same element as the adventurers used, so there is no clear cycle within Agito. The general difficulty of expert Agito quests makes it usually advisable to be equipped with a MUB 5
High Dragon tier 2 weapon first if you are attempting to first clear it with a DPS unit. Support adventurers and healers can get by with lower-tier weapons (typically MUB Chimeratech Tier 2, or 0UB Agito), but it can be difficult to get past public co-op room might gates with that. If lacking a suitable weapon, it's suggested to play in pre-made rooms as you build up towards a MUB Agito weapon.
Since the first clear of standard difficulty Agito only gives enough for a single copy of a 6
weapon and to MUB it requires clearing Expert difficulty many times, especially without weekly bonuses, it is usually advisable to purchase and max out the Agito Tree facility from Agito Treasure Trade to level 15 with the first clear materials rather than crafting a 6T1 0UB that is usually a minimal improvement over a MUB CT2.
- Wind Agito (Volk's Wrath) and Light Agito (Kai Yan's Wrath) are exceptions.
- The Flame element has been subject to total powercreep in general even among older units, that makes playing with non-maxed out equipment comfortable, and hence the choice is up to the player for the former
- The Shadow 6
weapon's Error: Table Conditions not found.Attack Rate +20% buff is extremely strong and Kai Yan's Wrath/Expert is a relatively easy fight, for the latter case.
Common Team Compositions
This is a list of the most commonly seen and accepted team compositions for certain endgame quests. Many other units not listed may be acceptable, but public groups will often gravitate to these.
- Note that due to new features, new units, new equipment, the addition of shared skills, and general powercreep, generally speaking, requirements become looser over time.
