The prince manages to arrive in the future, and finds a ruined world suffering under the cruel heel of the Empire. Shocked by what he sees, he challenges Chronos to a decisive showdown in order to prevent the tragedy.

Sad if so, for the true horror that awaits you is far worse than this. Very well. Let's continue. The castle interior is in no better shape than the outside. Did everyone really abandon it, or... Wait. I thought I heard something... Is that Notte?! Hey, Notte! Notte, wait! No! Stay back! Don't come near me! Notte, what's wrong with you?! It's me! It's Euden! *pant* *pant* I finally...caught up to you... Eeeek! Notte, what's going on here? What are you so afraid of? It's okay now. I'm here, and I'll— Yeah, right! I'm not falling for that! How CAN I believe you after everything you put them through?! I can't believe you've become so angry... Listen, Notte. I'm— Enough. It would seem the time for talk is ended. Huh? Chronos is here! How have you come here, my liege? And how did...? Chronos has come for Notte. He intends to follow along her chain of causality to a point in time where a former version of you exists. Back to when we first met... Fly, Notte! We'll hold him off! Huh?! Go, Notte. We will not let Chronos have you this day. Ah. All has been made clear now. Your interference here can only mean causality has been altered in some other time. This means I was able to accomplish my objective! Yes...but I'm changing that future, Chronos! One day, you will be my liege for true. There is no need to change the future. I have seen it, and it is GLORIOUS. If you stop me here, you will cast yourself down a path with an unknown destination. You would be casting aside the glory and honor I have seen you seize. Thus, I bid you carry out your role as a vessel. I refuse. Whatever glory awaits me in this time isn't one I earned for myself. I will be the one to decide what my future holds, no matter what it may be. A foolish decision. But so be it. Prepare yourself, vessel, for I shall scatter you across the very winds of time! I won't let that happen. And I won't either. Here and now, Chronos, I'm going to defeat you and take control of my own future!
