Summary

The party manages to repel the imperial army. However, the gate to the other world cannot be held open for long, so Alfonse and his friends hurriedly return to their own world. Though the parting is sad, the strength of their new bonds gives them a happiness to hang on to.

Dialogue

The Dyrenells have been routed! Now we just have you, Loki. We shall end this here! Tee hee hee! Oh, you don't disappoint. I'd love to stay and fight you, but alas... My part on this world's stage is at an end; we'll have to save the battle for another time. Ta taaaaaa! You would flee at the eleventh hour? Craven! I'd worry less about MY time and much more about YOURS. The gate in those ruins is VERY fussy, so if you're planning to use it, I'd suggest getting on that. How could you even know that?! How indeed? Well, it's no skin off my apple if you choose not to believe me. Until next time, then! Perhaps we will meet anew in a distant, far-off world... The ruins have started shaking... It could be Loki was telling the truth. If that gate closes, we won't be able to get Alfonse and the others home! Now I will open the gate... There. It is done. However, Loki was not lying when she said it was unstable; I fear I cannot keep it open for long. Very well. Let's hurry. Geez, guys. It's sorta sad to think we'll never see each other again. Come now, Notte. Booooo! This sucks. Good-byes are difficult even in perfect circumstances, much less in a harried parting such as this. I regret we were not able to spar against one another. However, your strength and kindness will be forever etched on my memory. I shall also remember you fondly, Fjorm. But the Alfonse in this world isn't of Askr. ...And he wasn't so bad. Alfonse, I... I thank you again for everything, Prince Euden. It truly is unfortunate to think we may never encounter each other again. I feel the same way. But even if we don't, the bonds we've forged will remain. It is fine to think so. I don't think it—I KNOW it. I will always remember how we fought at each other's side, and how that brought us together as true friends. So long as that bond exists, I know we'll be able to see each other again. Your heart is strong indeed, good prince. I feel naught but fear at partings.
