Dragon's Roost

The Dragon's Roost is a floating island near the Halidom where the player can interact with their dragons. Gifts can be purchased using Rupies here once per day each and given to dragons to level up their bond. Certain gifts will give an increased amount of bond experience when given to dragons that favor them. Gifts can still be given to a dragon that has reached the max bond level. The only benefit in doing so is receiving the thank-you gift in return.

Increasing the bond with a dragon lengthens the duration of shapeshifting during quests. The time of shapeshifting starts at 7.1 seconds at bond level 1, and each bond level gives an extra 0.1 second during shapeshifting, reaching 10 seconds at bond level 30. Taking damage during shapeshifting will deplete this timer on top of the usual depletion over time. Leveling up a dragon's bond will also give +10 might per bond level, up to +290 might at bond level 30. These bonuses also apply to all duplicate copies of that dragon.

Bond Experience

Every five bond levels, a reward is given for reaching a milestone. The number of items received appears to depend on the rarity of the dragon.

In total, a week includes one favored day of 3,800 EXP, two favored days/weekends of 4,000 EXP, and four unfavored days of 2000 EXP each, assuming the unfavored item is not used on a non matching dragon, or 3,200 EXP each otherwise. Following this format, an average week gives a total EXP of 19,800 EXP if targeted and 7,200 EXP spread across four different dragons for a total of 27,000 EXP, or 24,600 EXP otherwise at a loss at 90% efficiency of 2,400 EXP.
