Summary

Locating the somnium apples proves an uphill battle that nearly causes a quarrel between Ranzal and Luca, but their feelings for the prince manage to save the day. Unified once more, the two finally locate the apples and make good on their most manly of promises.

Argh! Where the heck ARE they?! I've had it about up to here with this damn fruit chase! We can't just go back to kicking trees, though. Remember that hornet's nest? I do NOT want to go through that again. Yeah, I GET that! But we ain't gonna find even a regular apple if we keep wanderin' around like a couple'a chumps. I figured glowing apples would be much easier to find, honestly. Maybe yer info was bupkis to begin with? Wh-what? I'd never lie about this! Didn't say ya were. Just wondered if ya mighta been mistaken, is all. ...So how 'bout it? I mean, sure, it IS a rumor—but it's one I heard from a whole lot of people! Still don't make it true. I guess so, but... Ah, don't worry about it—I'm just over here flappin' my gums. Maybe we oughta call it a day and think up some other present, though. No, we can't! I won't give up yet—not as long as we're doing this for Euden! C'mon, Luca... I've seen him work his way out of situations far more hopeless than this. He taught me to never give up—and a whole lot of other things besides! Don't you feel the same way, Ranzal? Wouldn't you do anything for him? Can you REALLY give up now?! ...Yeah, I suppose we should keep lookin'. Still, I don't wanna just wander in circles. Ya got any other clues? Sorry, no. Like I was saying earlier, it's an apple that absorbs moonlight, starts glowing, and is insanely delicious, but that's about all I have. Well, if this starts glowing 'cause of moonlight, what happens when the sun... Aw, hell—that's IT! Also, we're idiots. C'mon, Luca. If I'm right about this... AH-HA! Oh my gosh. These taste like someone gave happiness stems and a core. Hey, don't eat 'em all on the way back! Leave some for Euden! I will, I will! Honestly, I'm just glad we managed to find some. I was actually starting to think they might have just been a faerie tale. I mean, an apple that absorbs moonlight sounds crazy when you think about it. I'm just glad we thought to look for 'em at NIGHT as opposed to durin' the day. We shoulda picked up on that a whole lot earlier. Still, I woulda given up if it wasn't for you, Luca. I owe ya one. I was ready to pack it in, but ya wouldn't let me quit! Hey, come on. We found these because we worked our butts off TOGETHER! Here, you really need to try one of these. Thanks, pal. I just hope the prince likes 'em. Oh, he will. I'm sure of it. Looks like we got a real Valentine's success on our hands here!
