Summary
The cries for help came from Pele the dragon, who tells the prince both about Phraeganoth—a massive fiend trapped between worlds—and the one-eyed fiend attempting to release him. They then set out to prevent his resurrection and save their world.

Gwaugh!
Maybe there is somethin' to all this crazy trainin' after all.
I'll begin treatment at once.
You're the dragon who protected Alba?!
and devourer of the world entire. Have you not seen the mirages? The black mana manifests in his image.
The king and I fought to avenge our fallen people, and finally managed to seal our enemy in the space between worlds. Yet the cost I paid was dear, for I was trapped alongside him.

Its tainted nature calls fiends to it. In high concentrations, it can even disrupt the rightful flow of mana and cause fearsome natural disasters.
It seeks to widen the tear from the outside, so as to fashion a proper exit.
But if it does that—
I followed it here and attempted to stop it. But alas, I lacked the strength to defeat it.
and I already owe a debt I cannot repay. But I beg you to hear my plea and lend me your strength! Phraeganoth cannot be allowed to return to this realm! I cannot allow—
I can guide you to the one-eyed beast.
