Julietta: ......

Fiend: Rwaaaaghhh!

Ranzal: Aw, crap! We gotta do somethin', and fast! Those fiends have that lady surrounded!

Julietta: Hyaaaah!

Euden: Huh. Looks like she's got it under control.

Julietta: *pant* *pant* That...was terrifying...

Euden: Are you all right?

Julietta: Gaaah! S-scared? Who said I was scared? I wasn't scared!

Julietta: Uh, I mean...pardon me, but you are...?

Ranzal: Ranzal. This is Euden.

Julietta: Hold on—the man who lives in the castle? PRINCE Euden?

Euden: One and the same. May I ask your name?

Julietta: Oh, where are my manners? I am Julietta, a Paladyn.

Julietta: My Paladyn father bade me find you and join your cause. If you'll have me, of course.

Euden: Absolutely! We could definitely use someone of your skill.

Ranzal: But yer strong enough on yer own, so ya probably don't need our help takin' 'em down. We'll just be goin', then.

Julietta: H-hold on just a moment! I...I can't leave you to fend for yourselves! Allow me to see you safely through the—

Ranzal: Aw, don't worry about us; we can take care of ourselves.

Julietta: I said wait! I b-bet you're just acting tough, when in fact you're as helpless as a newborn babe! I'll accompany you—

Euden: Really, we'll be all right. We need you to take care of the fiends here more than we need a bodyguard. Until we meet again—

Elisanne: Oh—that's it! You are the one who turned heads making the Paladyn trial look like morning warm-ups. You have a bright future ahead of you.

Julietta: A bright future! Er, I mean...h-honestly, that ＂trial＂ is hardly difficult enough to merit the name.

Julietta: Besides, such tests with the Paladyns matter not. I will demonstrate my worth more directly.

Elisanne: Well, I'm glad that we can now count a knight of your caliber among our allies.

Julietta: Hmph! Has it taken you this long to realize my ＂caliber＂?! Now, if that will be all, I have other things to tend to!

Elisanne: She takes it for granted that she should prove herself directly rather than rely on her past reputation. I foresee a bright future ahead of her.

Julietta: I can't believe Elly actually knows who I am!

Julietta: I finally spoke with my hero face-to-face...

Ranzal: Nicely done as always! Our battles've been a breeze since ya showed up.

Cleo: Indeed. Hardly anyone has gotten injured since you joined us, either.

Julietta: Hmph. Such compliments ring hollow with foes so feeble.

Julietta: Now that the battle is won, I'm going back to the castle to clean off all this blood.

Elisanne: ......

Julietta: Elly— I mean, Elisanne! What is it?

Elisanne: That was a splendid fight, Julietta.

Elisanne: I hope you will fight by our side for a long while. That...that is all I wished to say.

Julietta: You... You needn't have wasted your breath. That has always been my intention. Now, if you'll excuse me...

Euden: Huh? She looks pale...

Julietta: Owwww, ow ow ow...

Euden: Julietta? What's wrong? Are you injured?

Julietta: Prince Euden... Why are you here...? Owww...

Euden: Your face told me something might be wrong. If you're hurt, I can get Cleo to come and heal you—

Euden: If you don't want me to, I'll respect that... But wouldn't it help you if everyone knew?

Julietta: Perhaps, but I will never know. Divulging that truth may shatter everyone's faith in me—and the fear of that is paralyzing.

Julietta: It's a secret I've kept since I was a child, because I was born into a prestigious family of Paladyns.

Julietta: But the Julietta everyone looks up to? I am leagues away from her.

Julietta: I never want to be a source of disappointment, so I always put on a brave face. Despite the pain it brings my stomach... Ow!

Julietta: D-don't coddle me! This pain is noth— Owwwwwwwie!

A Heart Overflowing

Elisanne: *pant* I fear we may have overextended ourselves... There are just too many fiends!

Julietta: Don't tell me you're yielding already, Elisanne!

Elisanne: You're right, Julietta. We have not lost yet. Let us rally and... Oh no.

Elisanne: Another pack of fiends is closing in! We cannot let them join forces!

Julietta: My legs are already weak with fear...

Julietta: But I must help Elly!

Julietta: Leave them to me, Elisanne!

Elisanne: What are you talking— Hey! Julietta! Where are you going?

Julietta: I can handle that pack on my own! I'll draw them away from you!

Elisanne: Wait! Not even you are strong enough to handle that many on your own!

Julietta: If you're so worried, dispatch those other fiends quickly and come help me!

Julietta: Though there may not be much left for you to do by then!

Fiend: Graaaggghhh!

Julietta: If you want a shot at Elly, you have to go through me first!

Euden: *pant* *pant* Good... We made it... I think we've defeated all the fiends in this area!

Elisanne: Only the pack Julietta took on remains! We must hurry, Euden!

Julietta: Hngh... I hope...everyone is okay... I need to finish these fiends, fast...

Fiend: Raaawwggghh!

In Spite of Fear

Euden: All right, everyone! We'll be heading out to hunt down fiends again this afternoon, so make sure you're prepared.

Julietta: Ugh... Again...?

Euden: It's all right, Julietta. You can stay in the castle if you're scared.

Julietta: Wh-who said I was scared?! I mean... I am, but just a tiny bit!

Julietta: S-still, you can't just leave me here... It makes me feel so...so useless...

Ranzal: What happened to the girl what never even blinked before chargin' into danger?

Julietta: She broke down in sobs before her peers, that's what.

Julietta: One doesn't recover from that.

Ranzal: I still can't wrap my head around it. How can someone as strong as you actually be scared'a fiends?

Cleo: To think you harbored such fear and still drew that pack of fiends away by yourself...

Julietta: That surprised even me. But I could think only of protecting Elly...

Julietta: And yet, in the end, I only managed to break down and cause more trouble.

Euden: Nonsense. Fighting so hard to protect us, despite being scared, was incredibly brave.

Elisanne: His Highness is right. And besides, everyone is scared of battling fiends.

Julietta: What? Even you, Elly?

Elisanne: ＂Elly＂? That is not... Ahem. Yes. Even me.

Euden: And me. There hasn't been a single battle I've fought where fear hasn't played a part.

Elisanne: If anything, it seems you both act more recklessly the more frightened you are.

Euden: I... Uh, well, that's because sometimes you have to act in spite of your fear. Right, Julietta?
