So rather than declaring I could not do such things, I swore to be more true to myself—much like you are, in fact. I want to stand on that stage with you in this outfit and make a summer memory I will never forget. So...will you have me?

I've been finding all sorts of reasons to avoid that sort of thing—claiming it was because I was an attendant and such. I always get timid at events like this. It's as if I am waiting for someone to tell me it is acceptable to enjoy myself. But watching Siren made me realize how wrong that mindset is. What I really wanted was to join in on the fun. That's what I've ALWAYS wanted. If I had simply put on the flashy clothes and danced and sung and laughed, I would have all sorts of happy memories. I don't want such regrets anymore.
