'''Shared Skills''' is a feature that allows adventurers to use the skills of other adventurers during battle. It was added in version 1.20.0.

==Overview==
During a quest, the leader unit on the team may equip up to 2 shared skills, replacing the slots that would normally be occupied by weapon skills and helper skills.

Once equipped, a shared skill behaves much like a normal skill - its gauge will fill with SP as the player attacks, and will be highlighted once it is available for use. Shared skills are not available to use while in dragon form or Divine Dragon form.

Unlike helper skills which consider the stats of both the controlled adventurer and the helper, shared skills will consider only the stats and equipment of the unit using the skill, as opposed to the unit who gave the skill. As such, any skill effects that normally affect only the user (for example, [[Skill Shift]]) will affect the played unit instead of the unit who gave the skill.

Additionally, using a shared skill will cause the unit to perform the skill's original animation, including additional visual effects such as {{Icon|Adventurer|Emma|size=32px|text=1}}'s pom-poms on her {{Icon|Skill|Pom-pom Pump|size=32px|text=1}} shared skill. The user's weapon will also be replaced with a white glowing representation of the skill's original weapon type, even if that weapon type matches the user's weapon type. This effect applies even to units that do not normally have access to weapon skins, such as {{Icon|Adventurer|Mega Man|size=32px|text=1}} or {{Icon|Adventurer|Veronica|size=32px|text=1}}.

==Giving a Skill==
Adventurers are eligible to share at most one of their skills. This skill can be either their skill 1 or skill 2 - which one is available depends on the adventurer themselves. Some adventurers are not able to share any skills at all.

When a skill is shared, its level will match the skill's level on the original adventurer. For example, if level 4 of {{Icon|Skill|Tornado Bash|size=32px|text=1}} has been unlocked on {{Icon|Adventurer|Ranzal|size=32px|text=1}}, and that skill is shared with another adventurer, they will be able to use level 4 Tornado Bash.

==Unlocking a Skill==

In order to use a shared skill, it must first be unlocked. To do this, select the locked skill from the Teams menu to prompt the "Unlock Skill" screen. From there, the requirements to unlock are as follows:
* The adventurer giving the skill must be at least level 80 and have at least 50 mana nodes unlocked.
* {{Flame Tome}}{{Water Tome}}{{Wind Tome}}{{Light Tome}}{{Shadow Tome}} Elemental tomes matching the giver's element must be spent. The tome cost is equal to the Share Points cost of the skill. Tomes can be obtained from events, or purchased from the shop for {{Diamantium-}}.
** For example, {{Icon|Adventurer|Patia|size=32px|text=1}}'s {{SkillTooltip|Sparrow's Guard}} is a {{InlineIcon|Icon Element|Shadow|size=32px}} Shadow skill that uses [[File:Icon Skill Share.png|24px|link=]] 5 Share Points, so it would cost {{Shadow Tome-}} x5 to unlock it.

Adventurers obtained through the main campaign are exempt from the unlock process, so their skills are immediately available to share once they are recruited.

Once a skill is unlocked, it is available to be shared on all units.

==Equipping a Skill==

Up to 2 shared skills can be equipped on the team leader in the teams menu.
* For shared skill 1, if the user has a weapon with a skill equipped, they can choose between the weapon skill and their shared skill 1 in this menu as well.
* For shared skill 2, it will be replaced by a helper skill if a helper skill is chosen when starting a quest. If no helper skill is chosen, or if playing in co-op, shared skill 2 will be available to use.

Adventurers cannot equip skills from themselves, but may equip skills from variants. For example, story {{Icon|Adventurer|Ranzal|size=32px|text=1}} cannot equip skills from story Ranzal, but he can equip skills from {{Icon|Adventurer|Gala Ranzal|size=32px|text=1}}.

If no shared skills are equipped, the shared skill slots will default to those of main campaign units, with the following priority:

A different pair of shared skills can be equipped on each unit in a team, but only the team leader (decided before a quest) can actually use their shared skills. During a quest, if the player switches control from the leader to another unit, the shared skills will not carry over to the now-controlled unit.

Every shared skill has a Share Point value, and each adventurer has a Share Point capacity. The sum of the equipped shared skills' Share Points must not exceed the adventurer's capacity.

==Changes from Original Skills==
Shared skills will have some differences relative to the original skill:
* The [[element]] of the original skill is ignored. Instead, the receiving unit's element will be used. For example, if {{Icon|Adventurer|The Prince|size=32px|text=1}} (a Flame unit) equips Ranzal's Tornado Bash (a Wind skill), the skill will deal Flame damage when The Prince uses it.
** An exception for this is element-locked buffs, such as {{SkillTooltip|Best Regards}} from {{Icon|Adventurer|Noelle|size=32px|text=1}}, which is a wind-specific buff. These buffs' element restriction stays the same when shared. The same applies to element-locked debuffs. These skills are hence unsuitable for use by off-element units.
* Damage dealt by damaging shared skills will be lowered to 70% of the original value.
** Damaging afflictions generated by shared skills do not suffer the damage penalty.
* Healing granted by healing shared skills will be lowered to 50% of the original value.
* SP cost will be higher or lower than the original, depending on the skill. Usually, it will be higher.
* Certain adventurers will require more SP to fill a shared skill than stated in the skill description. {{Icon|Adventurer|Nefaria|size=32px|text=1}} increases SP cost by +15% and {{Icon|Adventurer|Hawk|size=32px|text=1}} increases SP cost by +30% for example.
* Certain skills will have their shared SP cost increase when they are upgraded to level 4 in the [[Mana Spiral]].

==Recommended Shared Skills==
When selecting shared skills, it is important to consider the restrictions that are in place:
* The large reductions to damage and healing means that skills with utility are often favored.
** For damaging or healing skills to still be desirable for damage or healing despite this, they would need to have very high modifiers.
* The increase in SP requirements means that shared skills will usually take a while to charge up, so skills that are originally useful for being spammable will not be able to do so as effectively.
* Skills with higher Share Point costs are both expensive to initially unlock, and have less flexibility in terms of which other shared skills they can be paired with.
* Skills with short animations are usually preferred, as they allow for quickly returning to normal play after use. Long animations can cause the user to be stuck in place while an unavoidable attack is coming their way.

That being said, here is a short list of top skills to share. All skills are assumed to be at their highest available level, which may mean that Mana Spiral investment is needed if it exists for that adventurer.
